Don’t recommend

I was shopping around to get a better quote for my car insurance and I was helped by one of the agents. As usual, we go over with all the questions and to make the story short, she asked whose my insurance is and asked me why I just want to insure only one vehicle though I had multiple. I told her: just one vehicle because I just need to see if this company can give me better pricing. Suddenly, she told me it doesn’t make sense why I just want to insure one and not all. She began to accuse me of doing an insurance fraud and why there are two names on my policy. I explained it to her that the second person is the primary driver of the other car and she began telling me if we are common law and why there are two names on the policy. I was so disgusted with her accusations and told her how frustrated I was for her treating me this way. She even phoned my insurance to make it sure this is not a fraud. This agent should be educated more and learn more about two names on the insurance policy. She’s very ignorant and rude. I will never forget this experience and never recommend this insurance at all.

I don’t recommend PC

I almost had my insurance cancelled for non-payment because a number was written down incorrectly on their end. Then I called to correct it and they didn’t put the payment through? So I paid the insurance company directly to avoid any more confusion on PC’s end, again.

Predatory pricing

Just called PC to get insurance because their online quote was by far the cheapest, but we had a policy cancelled in 2015 due to a credit card payment not going through but it was reinstated later the same day when we sorted the problem. PC counted that as a cancellation due to nonpayment and then wanted to have us pay in full (I was happy to do so as that was the original plan) but also wanted to jack the price up by almost $400. We have never had an at-fault accident, never had a speeding ticket, no driving violations, etc, completely clean driving record and only one issue ever with payment in our history so I found the extra almost $400 they wanted to charge us to be ridiculous. So I immediately told them no and had my husband call around, we ended up going through TD, exact same history, they also had us pay in full (again, we were happy to do so as it was our original plan anyway and we understand that we're more of a risk on paper due to the payment mix up in 2015), but they didn't jack the price up and we ended up with a better policy (24/7 roadside assistance, rental vehicle covered, accident forgiveness, new vehicle replacement, etc) for a little over $300 cheaper than what PC wanted to charge us.

Avoid PC at all costs, they quote you less so you think they'll be cheaper and then they try to screw you with fees and BS extra charges.

If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.

Don't Take PC

I definitely highly unrecommend everyone PC Insurance as a coverage.

There are many reasons behind it.

1) When I took G License, it supposed to reduce my insurance but PC never did that happened.

2) Recently I am planning to visit back home generally insurance companies help customer to waive some charges
but when I contact PC Service department they are saying I won't get any waived charges and the policy remains same.

Thank god I never met any accidents, I can assume PC can tell the third party sorry we can't pay you for your loss.

Zero Customer Value with Cheap Policy Rules.

Terrible Customer Service

I was supposed to get a new policy since I moved from Halifax to Ontario. Everything seemed fine until the broker didn't send me a new policy and temporary insurance and cancelled my old policy. I am unable to drive for two days and this affected my work. There's no one able to help after 5 pm on Saturday. I get that, it's Saturday so I don't care and I just want to go home, right?

This is so terrible. How can you forget to send a new policy, but only cancel your old one? Such a poor customer service.

missing points for insurance

by NOT IMPRESSED on Sep 10, 2016

I was supposed to get 3000 points each year for renewing my home insurance policy& each year I would get 3000 more points also well as what I got the previous years. So 1st year 3000, 2nd year 6000, 3rd year 9000 points to a max amt. of 30,000 pc points (just for renewing each year). The same with the auto insurance 1st year 5000 points 2nd year 10,000 points, 3rd yr. 15,000 points to a maximum of 50,000 points. Each yr. after you would continue to earn 50,000 points for 30,000 points . So this is some serious points. I had insurance for 10 years auto & home & they never put the points in my account. I had to go after them for the points - the points were automatically supposed to be put into my account. If it happened to me - how many other clients are missing points they are supposed to get automatically.

Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.

PC Insurance Experience

I have had such a great experience setting up my insurance with PC that I had to share. My agent was very professional and shopped around for me to save me over $1200 a year. It only took a few minutes to set up and they answered any questions I had. I would highly recommend you call PC today

You were truly amazing and beyond helpful in everything we dealt with. I wish I could make you my insurance go to guy. You were so kind, and you always did what you said you were going to do. I strongly recommend you!! The rates were well below what was being offered at other companies. The best experience I have had with an agent!!!

Not The Best Deal!

We have used PC for insurance for 2 years now. A year ago we moved to Newfoundland and the car insurance went up quite a bit. We questioned it and were told that this is just how it is in Newfoundland. At the end of the year here in Newfoundland we got notice that our premium was going up, to $3500 per year for one 2017 SUV. We decided to ask around a bit and see what others were charging. We were very surprised to find we could get car insurance in Newfoundland for half of this.
We changed providers.
With the new company our overall yearly bill for house and car is $2616 less than what we pay through PC! That's a lot of money.
Very disappointed in PC Insurance who we assumed as a broker is going to get you the best deal.
Some of the staff are delightful to deal with, but in terms of value for money, PC Insurance does not seem to have your interests at the forefront.
It pays to do your research.
