I was dealing with PC Financial when I had a dispute over a purchase where I did not receive the product I was supposed to get. Not only was customer service awful ( wait times over 2 hours, only to speak with a representative who was unknowledgeable about the process) but the company offered me no help at all. Even when I went to put my card on hold as a precaution, the company said they would, and then when I went to test it, didn't. It may be seen as a cheap option, but when you really need your credit card to do as it is meant to (which is to protect the user), it will fail every time. My first review I've ever written because it was an appealing experience.
I've been a customer for 20 years. Time elapsed (> 1 year) due to likely inaction by PC Financial and they first said the time to fight was expired. Then they said it was because I already agreed to a refund by the vendor. Before that, they said I could take a refund but still dispute the remaining $1000 or so.
Rare callbacks, try to bribe me with PC points worth only about $100 when the dispute is about $1000? I have been keeping small monthly balances on my account and they still treat me like I were owing them huge amounts of money. I have no arrears with them whatsoever. They also appear to have many call centers across the world there to simply answer phones and give false information/false hope/lies.
They admitted to contradictory information on the phone even with managers.

This company is a complete joke. They advertise to the entire world about their 100,000 points and then when it’s time to claim you go around the entire universe to get your points. They credit a measly 20k points in the beginning and the balance of 80k never comes to the account. An absolute disaster of a customer service where they ignore your issue and end the chat by not resolving anything. I repeatedly asked to talk to the manager and they never transfer the call. Disaster! STILL WAITING TO GET MY 80k points!!! UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED!
I applied online and got an instant email with congratulations and card will follow in 7–10 days. I continued to get emails to activate for extra savings at gas pumps and shoppers drug Mart. Three weeks later, I called and was on hold for 20 minutes. I was told that the card was canceled due to my credit. The representative said I could reapply in six months . I was pissed as I pay my bills on time. I called them again, next day and was told it was the cancelled due to the process???? I asked for an email explaining what I was told. The gentleman said they don’t do that. He was in the Philippines. I never got one email, phone call explaining this so-called process. What a disservice and fabricated process. Shame on President's Choice!!!
Although this company has an agreement with Shoppers Drug Mart and people are generally happy since they are getting points, any time there is a fraudelence in your account, the support is bare minimum.
I had a fraudulent charge on my account from a photo shop in NY where I haven't been since more than 15 years. When I complained to PC, they first refunded that amount, but then called me back when I was away for 3 weeks on vacation and then added that amount. Since then, this issue was not resolved. If I had these issues with another credit card company, like major banks, they would have been resolved long time ago. Finally, I took my complaint to the Ombudsman and waiting to hear a favorable solution.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CREDIT CARD TO ANYONE. ALL OTHER VISA CARDS OFFER POINTS OR REBATES. DON'T LEARN THE HARD WAY LIKE I DID!

The worst customer service I've ever experienced. I disputed a charge and submitted all supporting documentation - instead of a credit back to my card they processed a debit. So now I've paid for this twice and nobody seems to be able to reverse this.
More a headache the longer I have it. Every time I get an non native English speaker they tell me the charge is not fraudulent and send me to the dispute department. I did NOT make the charge! That is Fraud. After 8 phones calls I finally got an native English speaker in Disputes who fixed my problem, re issued me a new card and sent it back to fraud all done for them! and I got my $$ refunded
I have a dispute issue and same thing with non native speakers, they can NOT communicate, do not listen to what you say and do not do what they say. They claim my dispute is being cancelled due to inability to contact the seller, which is my problem. And told me they cant help me, do it yourself. Its obviously some kind of scam, as the minute I applied for a refund the agent when awol as well as my Credit Card company, whom is supposed to help me!
Terrible service!
I canceled my account on 2018 with full balance has been paid. After years I realized they left $1 on my account and ruin my 4 years of credit history.

Used to be very easy and reliable master card to use. Customer service is horrible, wait on call for more than an hour and then your issue is not being resolved. Canceled my card!

Do you know you pay high interest on this card? So I always try to pay it up within 7 days or so... the only reason I use this card when I do grocery and superstore happened to be the nearest. Anyways, I noticed they always close my app even when I punch in the correct password, so this got difficult from time to time to see the balance and pay it out because either they don't want you to pay it out or they keep adding interest as you don't see or can't log in. I am not sure if anyone else has the same issue? But It took me a while to figure this out, before I used to think I forgot the password until I started to track it. Now I know it happened a few times! And those Philippino ladies in customer service is the worst full of lies and misinformation.
