RBC point is a SCAM.
You have to wait 8 hours on hold for someone to help you and then they will hang up on you and won't call you back. Their points are not worth bothering. They are annoying and will really torture you till you give up your points. Useless MANAGERS.
Do not redeem your points with them.
If you don't believe try to call them.

I bought my tickets and in two months I have received 6 changes, my flight is in December. And at this point, I don't know if I can fly with that tickets or I have to buy new ones.
Every time that I called then the waiting time is 2 hours at least.
And everyone that answers the phone has different information!

The "on hold" issue is number 2 on my list as I've been on the call /on hold now for almost 5 hours. This issue (number 1) is regarding a travel credit I have with WestJet. The online ticket price is $1,089.47, I have a credit with WestJet (via RBC) for $1,499.26. I made sure that I am completely accurate with all information and RBC says I now have to pay an additional $58.70 which jumped to $108.10 after being on the phone for 3 hours. Correct me if I'm wrong; Credit $1,499.26 less cost of $1,089.47 should be plus +$409.79? I know WestJet will not give credit for a positive difference but asking me for more money is really taking advantage of the customer. Something is big-time wrong and one thing is for sure, the RBC rewards cardholder is the loser. As for complaint #2, I've had to call RBC Rewards 3 times in the last few months and the wait is 3 to 5 hours to get someone live on the line. Absolutely horrendous customer service.
As per other reviews have had no problem booking a flight but consider the ticket lost if anything is cancelled or needs rebooking. It’s a great mo. Consider it gone. 10 hours on hold for the first booking and 6 hours so far on an airline cancelled flight yesterday.
Shame RBC. I’m done with your card.
What is going on with this company? I have used them in the past without much problem. I need to change my flight urgently and I honestly don’t know how I’m going to do it. Who has time to sit and wait listening to their god-awful music for 2-3 hours. According to these other reviews they never even got their cal answered. I am seriously thinking of cancelling my card and I use it a lot. They don’t allow to make changes online and then provide abysmal customer service. And they say they’re open 24/7 but they aren’t. This is appalling. I’ve never experienced anything so terrible. HIRE MORE PEOPLE! God knows they make enough profit.

I simply need to change my flight, I tried to do the change online but the trip I booked through RBC Rewards last week does not even show up online under My Trip.
I called last night and waited for 3 and a half hours, finally had to hang up to go to bed.
This morning, I have waited for another 3 and a half hours so far and still waiting...
This is horrendous, I don't think the company cares about or respects their customer's time. I would give this company zero stars if I could :(
SHAME ON YOU RBC Reward
This is the worst customer service that I have ever had. For one week I have tried and nobody answers the line. I was on hold from 8 am to 8 pm and no answer.
I believe this is just a line for decoration and nobody answers that line.
I have tried other phone numbers and they transfer me to several different departments but in the end, they transfer me to the same line.
I am so disappointed that I used my RBC Reward. Does not worth the headache. I am going to even move my business banking to another bank.
I was on hold for 4 hours trying to change a flight time which they had booked. They had me departing on flight # 2, 2.5 hours earlier than my 1st flight arrived.
How is someone so busy on the phone that you have to wait 4 hrs at 8 am in the morning? I tried doing it myself online but only 1 of my flights was listed. It would not allow mw to cancel or change the flight online. It said I had to call in.
Also when you book through them, the airline will not let you change with them directly, you have to go through RBC rewards. Very bad experience, Called RBC Visa but all they
would do is give me another number and here I am on hold again.
I will never book with RBC rewards again . Considering getting rid of the RBC VISA as well. What"s the point of having a rewards card when you cannot use it without all this hassle

Have waited for 2 hours on hold, 4 times, and hung up as how long can you wait to speak to someone. Terrible service... We are out of money and time! This is a disgrace Royal Bank!

I booked a trip to Mexico which is supposed to leave in 4 days. I have no confirmation other than a booking number. I have waited on hold for a total of 4.6 hours and twice has the call dropped with no callback. This company does not seem interested in providing even the most basic customer service. I was previously with VISA through another bank and am looking into switching back as this is a nightmare and a complete waste of my time
