Have waited for 2 hours on hold, 4 times, and hung up as how long can you wait to speak to someone. Terrible service... We are out of money and time! This is a disgrace Royal Bank!
Never buy anything from their catalogue. You can return it or exchange or they wouldn't even support you if your product breaks. Their answer "Go deal it with yourself". They don't stand by their product or services. The client service reps are a disgrace to this service. Thinking about taking my business elsewhere.

Please stay away from this organization. Their financial advisors contradict each other. They gave me false information. They don’t know their jobs well. Spending for a month 9 calls for 3 people just opening a new credit card. Go to apply for a different card. They mess you up plus never say an apology. One financial advisor was admitted to his mistake.
I hate writing bad reviews but their system is a complete mess. It is easy to book online and granted their backend has improved over the years... But heaven forbid you have to call in to get something changed or fixed... Horrible wait times, completely clueless agents, just a gigantic pain...
They basically have no return policy because it is so useless - can only return if a product in the same condition and within one week of order. Shipping takes 4+ weeks how is that fair? What about if a product wil defective over time? Such a scam and the representatives are extremely unhelpful!

I have spent many hours going back and forth to different people over the phone to resolve the issue of not being able to sign into my rewards online. "The system is down and only a few people were affected" is what I was told. It is now going on two weeks. I have over 200,000 points and do not know what to do. I had to book a trip for my son to come home and it took over 45 minutes over the phone with their agent. I have been with Royal bank rewards for over 15 years. My question and frustration is why is this taking so long?
I made the mistake of cashing out 70,000 RBC points on Nov 22nd towards gift cards. On the next Monday, there was a 30% off gift card sale. Due to not waiting until Monday, I lost out on $150 in gift cards. I called to see if there was anything they could do. I have had my card for over 10 years and been an RBC customer since I was 10. I am very disappointed that they just say sorry, we didn't know. Will not be renewing.
Dear fellow Canadians! Do not waste your time and money! It is not just a scam - it is something you are powerless against. 11 days, 14 contacts, over 9 hours spent on the phone. None of the so-called professionals but realistically ignorant thieves were able to explain why can’t we redeem our points, why does order fail to complete, why they cannot connect to the right person, why do they contradict each other. They will never call you back if promised or interrupted, some of the reps (like W. W. in Northland location) will not be able to speak clearly in English, to understand majority of your statements and will give you 800 number in the end to call, they will keep bouncing you between card services and security office and the online services and each will promise that someone will call you early next week. Nothing! Zero! Plain vacuum! Take your money somewhere else...

I used my points to purchase a product in July. 6 weeks later, I still haven’t received the product but the points have been deducted since the day of purchase. I called the customer service (they responded quickly and the representative was very polite) and said that someone from the RBC Rewards program will call me within the week. No one called back. I called again (this time was a much longer wait and less information was provided by the representative) and I was told that they have returned my points since they couldn’t track the shipment (without informing me). A month and a half of waiting for a product saying that it has been shipped (but apparently they couldn’t track). Said that a representative will follow-up and call but no one did. At least they have good representatives.

I was on hold for 4 hours trying to change a flight time which they had booked. They had me departing on flight # 2, 2.5 hours earlier than my 1st flight arrived.
How is someone so busy on the phone that you have to wait 4 hrs at 8 am in the morning? I tried doing it myself online but only 1 of my flights was listed. It would not allow mw to cancel or change the flight online. It said I had to call in.
Also when you book through them, the airline will not let you change with them directly, you have to go through RBC rewards. Very bad experience, Called RBC Visa but all they
would do is give me another number and here I am on hold again.
I will never book with RBC rewards again . Considering getting rid of the RBC VISA as well. What"s the point of having a rewards card when you cannot use it without all this hassle
