I had a deposit-secured visa for a few years. When I qualified for another card and had an offer of 0% interest if the balance transferred, I called Home Trust to get the final amount owed. They told me they don't allow balance transfers. I had 2 different customer service agents tell me that. They lied. I was able to transfer the full amount to my new card.
Telling customers they can't do balance transfers is incredibly unethical. They don't give you any interest on the money used as a security deposit either while collecting 20% interest on purchases.
I don't recommend them!
THEY ARE THE WORSE. Every day since I applied they ask me for a document in an email. When I call to clarify no one knows anything OR you get an attitude. Why would anyone want to give business to a company that can't help or wants to help its customers? When dealing with money that is DEFINITELY something you don't want to have to deal with.
NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE OF SIGNING UP OR GIVING THEM THE BUSINESS FOR ANYTHING

What else will you get:
Great rates, especially since they don't charge the % transaction fee when abroad, unlike the standard 2.5% from regular credit cards. However, their customer service is horrid. They don't know which problem goes to which department. Their third-party fraud monitoring is outsourced. The card was easily hacked online. If I have any further issues with this card, I will investigate a different product.

Home Trust Visa conveniently “forgets” to send email reminders that your payment is due.
Since customers are not getting the reminder, they forget to check the statement, especially if you have many credit cards, and miss the payment date, resulting in hefty interest charges. This happened twice to me already. The second time was after Christmas, when everyone spends a ton of money on gifts. When I called customer support, they told me that they are aware that the reminders went out late, but the statement was available and they will not reverse interest charges. Is this even legal?
Shame on you Home Trust Visa. I’m cancelling your card, because the 3% you don’t charge in transaction fees for foreign currency, you make up (and more) in interest, a few times a year.
Mr CEO, enjoy your next vacation, it’s on me. You are welcome.
