Canada Life is the worst provider of extended medical and dental benefits I have dealt with. It is almost impossible to get reimbursed as their “medical professions” will likely disagree with your medical service provider as to what they believe the patient should receive. It seems as though they are on a commission based on the value of the denials. I am a very unsatisfied customer!
Doesn’t provide service like in contract. Always delays the payment. Bad customer service.
Canada Life rejected my claim and said “Important: Your plan does not cover non-prescription sunglasses.”
My submission is for my sunglasses frame.
f-r-a-m-e. That is part of eyewear.
My previous claim only has a lens. How can I wear only lenses? What does eyewear mean? Only means prescribed lens?
Could you please show me an example of wearing only a lens?
I put the category under Eyewear and Exams. Canada Life first mistakenly put it under Laser eye surgery and later again mistakenly under Lenses: single vision.
Can Canada Life read my notes?
With my previous employer benefit insurer was Canada Life and my medications were approved, after changing employer my current benefit insurer was again Canada Life and not approving my same medication where doctors have approved and coverage is more! They never pick up calls nor provide proper responses for rejection!
They have customary charges listed on everything but don't say it in the package.
They even have customary charges that aren't listed on their website. As a result of this and other deductibles, the percentage coverage is never the full percentage. It's a scam for what we're paying.
The absolute WORST benefits company I have ever had the misfortune of being insured by. Terrible customer service, terrible coverage. I'm going to ask my employer to cancel so I can get private health insurance with another company.
