They are such a rip off

I paid when i bought 2017 honda odyssey $6000 down payment plus additional warranty with lease guard fee. But my van got stolen 2 months after i purchased the van. Insurance company refuse to pay any money to me (all the money i paid 2 months ago) and they just want to pay off Honda finance only. This is very frustrating because i paid more than $9000 for just to drive the van for 2 months..
This is fraud.
Very poor service in all area of business. Every year they increase the premium without any reason. My last auto insurance premium for two cars were $4700 and I cancelled with them and got new rate from another insurance company for $2600.
Horrible company to deal with. Have received an email from the company when was trying to add a policy, they said sorry for the 2-week delay - we've been busy.
Then I had to cancel a vehicle policy, after over 10 years of service they penalized me. They did not advise me I can only sell a vehicle when it suits them!
I will not be renewing any policies with them, so many competitive companies out there looking to treat clients better than this... why wouldn't I?!
Johnson makes changes to your plan without notification. In my case, they increased my deductible from $100 to $500. When asked about this, they mention a mass change was implemented. I verified this by looking at their notification and it specifically stated the change in deductible is ONLY for standard policies, while I was paying for a comprehensive policy. Regardless, they made this change to all policies, crooks.
I called in to add myself as a second driver and no consent was requested from my father. I called in about an unexpected $500 invoice and suddenly my father's consent was required. I asked that they call my father to request consent. I said I would let my father know to expect a call. When I called them back to tell them they can call my father they decided they would not call a number that is not on file. My father would be at work... he possibly cannot pick up the phone at home.
My concern is just that when they are able to add more insurers (getting more money from us) they will do it all with no consent from the account holder, however, if you suddenly have a question or concern it will not be heard without the account holder's consent.
No consistency and very obviously after the money. The worst customer service, absolutely horrible.
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
They have included home insurance in the policy even though we had home insurance already with another insurer. They have never sent the policy documents claiming that they had the wrong address. When I saw that they were charging me more than they should I called them and only then I found out that home insurance was included. Even though they supposedly rectified the situation they continued to take the incorrect amount from my bank account. Their customer service is extremely rude and poorly trained. Stay away from this company. They are not cheap, they will try to cheat you and their customer service is terrible.
I have had Johnson as my insurance company for 15 years. I had my husband go last week to add a second vehicle to our policy and it jumped $370. So we switched insurance companies and Johnson decided to charge us the $460. Because we didn't cancel at the end of a month. Stealing our money. So glad we switched companies.
I am currently suing Unifund for the money they claim to have paid me for claims that were withdrawn, paid under $300 for theft of a stereo system worth over 5000. i had additional coverage for this so by the time they took the 250 deductible i was left with a $47 cheque but they claim to have paid over $6897 and for my property loss they first declared it as fraud then i took them to court and settled out of court only to get a $2000 cheque that they cancelled when i cashed it. In total my insurance has went up 4000 a year for the next 6 years because the subtotal of your claims is divided into 6 years and when you never save over $23,000 and are paying for it, i do believe that is extortion.
We have been a loyal customer of theirs for the last 20 years. In all that time our rates have always increased every year. It's absolutely ridiculous how much we pay today. Their customer service is atrocious. I recently put through a claim due to an accident that was not my fault. A spare time from an oncoming car rolled through the front end of my vehicle causing serious damage. After the car was repaired and the claim closed, my local service center discovered my front tie rod was loose. The exact point of impact from my accident. However, Johnsons refused to open the claim and re-evaluate it. And the claim adjuster never called me back after several attempts to reach her. We will be switching away immediately. And possibly take a penalty just to be done with it for good. Stay away from this company!!!

Making online monthly payments as they neglected to withdraw funds from my account and they declined payment. They cancelled my insurance and from a 7 star moved me down to a 1 star. From 100 monthly now 300 monthly with no accidents or claims. They also charged me $352 before they would re-write another policy. Would not explain what that was for.
