Treated like a criminal!!

After having insurance with The Personal for more than 20 years I was involved in an accident. They could not determine who was at fault, so I was forced to take 50 percent of the blame, even though they said the other guy driving a company vehicle would never admit to wrong doing or he would loose his job. I have never had any type of claim or tickets, insurance rate has almost doubled!!! no wonder so many people drive without insurance. No on has accident forgiveness, it does not exist. I have tried to get other insurance, no chance to move once you have an accident, you are a marked target.

I'm not happy

I should have read these previous comments before I get the personal insurance. They looks pretty slow. Whoever handle my case (taria) they said on vacation I call more than two times no body get back to me. If one person or two on vacation who cares do I stop paying my payment when I go vacation. I called them again today looks like they haven't even started yet . They should not even tell me somebody on vacation coz it's not my concern . Someone should have taking care of each customer weather on vacation or ... I am worried how I proudly recommend to another person about this company

IMPOLITE TERRIBLE ADJUSTER!

Not worth it to go through to this company even cheap payment but no peace of mind if you have claims,

I got involve in an accident, it's not our fault on the first hand, but the adjuster never to be on our side, being rude, impolite, and aggressive. Everytime i talked to him feels like he's on rush to end the conversation.Matthew S. if this is your adjuster heads up
They never call you for update, I was left hanging figuring out what is happening, I am the one who always contact for follow up

Even in car rental they will not pay they will tell the rental comp. that they will give the final date, even my car is not fix. Ending up I am gonna be charge by my own pocket!!

So sad, worst ever, I will change insurance after I get my car

WORST COMPANY EVER !!

Please never going with this company !! Why ?? Because of I've been more than one year and half with them with no claim also two car insured with this company ,last week my wind-shield is broken with rock but they didn't pay me !!!! this is their rule for full cover option !!! I said to their customer service what's the meaning of full cover option for cars and they said if your wind-shield broken by fall a piece from aircraft we will pay you but not for ROCK !!!!!!!
Now I'm scare for future days and don't sleep because of I need my car for this weekend and will change my company as soon as possible , and I was lucky to know them with wind shield not with serious accident !!!

Don't ever use The Personal

I had a simple comprehensive claim. 8 weeks later, and the local repair shop still has not been paid for repairs made to my car. Every time I manage to speak with someone at The Personal, they have a new excuse as to why he hasn't been paid. They have made mistake after mistake and while very apologetic, they just can't get it right. You can leave message after message and no one will call you back, ever. I am pulling all my insurance from them as soon as possible. The rates are good but not worth it. What if I had a more serious claim? I can't sleep at night worrying about this now. Don't ever take insurance out with this company. Their customer service is 0 out of 5 stars and they are extremely incompetent.

Only 1 star b/c I got my money

Took 1 whole month to process my car accident claim. Had 2 witnesses and they called them twice in that span. Ended with 50/50 fault. Got screwed with car rental as I eventually ended up owing $1k. And the adjuster had the courage to ask why I rented a car, to which I reply "I needed a car for work!!!" They undervalue my car by at least 3k but just happy I was able to get my money for this company. Worst company ever!!! Do yourself a favour, go find another company. I wouldn't come back with this crap company even if they paid $10k+ Or whatever amount. Just plain bs. Just want people to know. Stay away!!!

In september 2015 My car was stollen, Now December 2015 i am still fighting with them for a settlement. I am a very sick person and this insurance company still giving me so much problems. They said the investigation is still going on. 90 days passed and still going on.
I don't think i will ever get the money from them. I hope i will get this in this life time.

worst claim advisors ever

had an acccident which involved getting a rent from a rental(covered by policy) company they work with (Discount) 4 days before i was supposed to get my car back i got a call from rental company, they told me that insurance had stopped their payments, so i got charged just over $500 for extra couple of days. it was discovered later that The Personal's claim advisor miscalculated the dates so i ended up getting charged, now they refuse to reimburse me because they think the invoice that i got from rental company is too high, they have their own rates apparently.and now its almost been 4 months since they attempted to contact Discount rental, nobody has replied yet and im still fighting them, worst experience i've ever had.if you ever happen to have any sort of accident that needs to be reported to them you better make sure they do everything right since they're clearly not competent enough to do a bear minimum at least.

HORRIBLE SCAM!

I decided to sign up my motorcycle insurance with this company allthough previously I had a bad experience with them for my car insurance where they messed up my drivers license and birth date and charged me one premium and then upon renewal it went up. I thought I'd give them a second chance however this was a MISTAKE!!

Any way getting back to this story I bought my bike in may of 2015 and decided to insure it with the personal being the best rate I could find. after the riding season was done (oct 2015) I sold my bike and wanted to cancel my insurance however they told me there would be no cancellation fee. However when I went to cancel they told me that I have to pay $500. I asked for what they told me its to pay off portion of the premium due to seasonal.

I WILL NEVER BE INSURING WITH THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN DO NOT INSURE WITH THEM THEY ARE A SCAM.

If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.

The WORST

I recently switched to The Personal for my auto insurance. I unfortunately had my first claim and the experience I had with the insurance company was worse than the actual car accident. My adjustor NEVER called me back, despite numerous calls and voicemails. I would actually leave voicemails BEGGING him just to call me back. Finally, I called and asked for a different adjustor and they pretty much told me no. The person I was speaking to told me that as far as she can tell, my adjustor is doing what he's supposed to be doing because he had written some notes on my file. How am I supposed to know he's doing what he's supposed to when he NEVER calls me back. After making this complaint he still refused to call me back. It took him 4 weeks to tell me my car was a total loss even though he had advised me two days after my accident that I should remove my belongings from the car. It took 5 weeks to receive my cheque. They covered me for a rental for 2 of the 5 weeks in which I didn't have a car. DO NOT go with The Personal. Worst experience ever and I would hate for someone else to go through something like this.
