Useless and abusive

The client care expert has done everything possible to not do his job. My family had been left stranded after we paid into our policy for a rental vehicle which he has refused to set up. When he said he was setting it up he would make sure he was unavailable to us and the body shop doing the repairs. He would then leave random emails stating things were getting done and disappear for days. He alone has made this experience more traumatic than the accident itself. I would advise that with these agents running the show out of Mississauga stay far far away from the Cooperators. In the end, never received the rental vehicle we paid for in our insurance policy.

Worst Insurance Company

I’ve been with them for more than five years never claimed before my first time claiming and this is the experience I had. I was in a car accident in January 2022 up-to-date I still have not received a settlement. The first settlement they offered me was outright insulting for a 2013 Acura RDX no one has contacted me back since and this was a week and a half ago... They have not contacted me back with another offer it’s basically "take it or leave it" that’s the kind of attitude they have no empathy for the consumers. Most of the adjusters I’ve dealt with were rude and inconsiderate that’s all I can say.

If I could give this insurance company a zero I would

I have a claim in place, I have called several times, waited over an hour every time and no one gets back to me. I even used the call-back option and NO ONE CALLS BACK! Totally useless insurance company.

The worst insurance company I have ever worked with in my life. Can't pick up the phone, can't answer simple questions about your insurance, they lie they rip you off. Don't go with this insurance company!

Stay away

Stay away from this company they don’t honour their own policies, they don’t answer questions, they are flat out rude and organized, I was with them 5 years had two very minor incidents they told me my accident forgiveness no longer applies and tripped my rates after the second one. When I asked questions they asked me for proof of registration and cancelled my policy before getting written notice in the mail blocking my access to my online services account and demanded that I still owed money. When I placed a stop payment on my account my bank informed me they had been taking money out under two different names so I had to place two stop payments. When I finally got my cancellation notice they cancelled it because they didn’t get proof of registration and one of the forms I signed 6 weeks before cancellation apparently wasn’t dated. This company has been caught lying to me on more than one occasion and has the worst customer service I have ever encountered.

Wrongfully accused

I was t-boned in the rear by a distracted driver well entering a hotel parking lot, and cooperators accused me of being at fault.

This is the very horrible worst insurance company I never thought after you are paying them on time but when I have an accident that is not at fault and had video evidence provided including police reports but until now they are ignoring my calls it's been more than three months keep calling emailing but no further actions and instead of helping me they still denying it's my fault just avoiding the claims... Cooperators - poor customer service, not helpful and cheater!

Rip off - Increasing rates as you drive less

My insurance has increased despite driving far less during the pandemic and having a good record. The deductibles are also awful. Terrible service. Terrible insurance. Avoid at all costs.

Do not insure with Cooperators

This has to be the worst insurance company ever. They will take your money but if you ever have a claim they will fight to not pay it out. Waited months for a reply from the adjustor in the end only to reject the claim. What made it worse was other insurance companies with the same policy language paid out the claim where Cooperators refused to. Do not insure with Cooperators if you have a choice.

Great Customer Service!

Over and above by not 1 but 2 Advisors!

I called from home 10 minutes before closing on a Saturday afternoon to see if I had time to get my car insurance renewed. I completely forgot it had expired the day before and the office was located just around the corner.

Unfortunately, due to Covid, the Insurance Advisor who answered my call worked from home. Instead of simply replying she couldn't help, she immediately contacted the lone Advisor at the office to see if he could hold the doors open for me. He agreed!

The in-office Insurance Advisor, Arash, quickly completed my request with grace and professionalism, despite an unusually busy day.

Thank you Co-Operators for hiring amazing Advisors!
