As much of the feedback here is poor credit limit, I have the same issue. Was trying to book a vacation package. I would pay cash but due to travel insurance and a requirement to book with a credit card, I am limited. Yeah, I agree with most of the comments here, dump Capital One MC. Costco, I like your staff, product offerings and service but you should choose your partner wisely. Take this feedback at face value if you value customer feedback.
Every week the card would stop working for security issues. Customer service was quick to connect to. But useless help. They would tell me to call back because their system is not working. They told me if I cancel, I'm banned for life...great, done deal. I only used the card for 2 months and realized the other cards I've been using for 10 years rarely had issues. If issues occurred, I would be provided good customer service and resolution. Don't waste your time.

Capital one MasterCard will not increase my credit limit after trying 2 times. I would never use their card, but we were forced to switch from American Express. Bad choice on Costco's part.
This is my second year having Costco Mastercard credit card. On their website/agreement, there is a statement and cash back coupon that is supposed to be sent on January automatically but I never got them. It takes several attempts to contact them for them to send back cash back coupon. Last year I got them in late May and right now, I've called them several times already to get my cash back. Warning others that it takes way longer for them to give you rewards
Reasonably good benefits but certainly not "Costco" worthy. If you are looking for a high end card that you can use for most of your purchases, look elsewhere - there are plenty of better options. The allowed credit limit on this card is ... well, what you would expect for a young person with little to no credit history.
My wife and I were totally floored following a short conversation with a Capital One representative.
We are in our fifties, own three homes, make close to a quarter of a million dollars and have perfect credit. We use this card for almost every purchase me make (from groceries, to restaurants, to trips, etc), consequently maximizing our benefits. We pay our credit card balance each month to avoid interest charges. We have other credit cards that we do not use with limits in the twenty thousands. Recently we wanted to make a furniture purchase with this card but could not because it would exceed our credit limit of 11k. Given our credit history, we figured we would be able to increase this limit with a quick call. Well, lo and behold, the Capital One representative was quick to reject our request. We were both shocked, a request from 11k to 15k, this is really not a big amount! And they call their card "PLATINUM", more like bronze! In the end, we made the purchase with another credit card, a sale that Costco Capital One lost.
We are now looking at other financial institutions with credit cards that would better meet our needs.

Having a Costco platinum credit card for over 2 years, I've found their credit limit of $8,000 not enough for my family so I've tried twice now to raise our limit with no success. They NEVER give you a straight answer why just a "maybe next time" thanks for coming out although without the little pat on my head. I am constantly being denied at retailers because of the low credit limit so I then have to use my CIBC Visa card which has a $30,000 limit thank you CIBC Visa. I find it ridiculous because I've never missed a payment and pay my balance off every month so if they did raise my limit, I would be spending more money with them therefore making more money for them instead of CIBC. Only reason I still have it is to use at Costco. If Costco ever switches cards again, I would never consider Capital One for anything. I'm feeling that Capital One perhaps just don't care about their Costco customers.
Yesterday I needed to speak to a Capital One rep by phone . I am not joking or exaggerating....it took me more than two hours to reach a customer service representative who was willing to stay on the line to resolve the issue. Normally, I would NEVER have held for this length of time but my husband and I are going on vacation and the matter had to be resolved. And when you have already been on hold for almost an hour, the fear of beginning all over later and having to go through the same thing is beyond painful. So the first customer service rep picked up the phone after I had held for almost an hour; put me on hold and said they had to transfer me to another service rep which they said would take about 5 mins. 30 mins later another customer service rep 'picked up' and I had to provide all the same details I had provided to the previous rep starting with my credit card number! After about 10 mins when they were unable to resolve my issue, they said they needed to check with someone else and could I hold for a minute. It was 30 mins later before an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT REP picked up, and I had to start at the beginning again! I was totally infuriated by this time, told her so, she apologized and did at least stay on the phone until the issue was resolved. I told each of reps that their wait times were totally unacceptable, and that they should have a service in place, when there phone lines are busy, so that CUSTOMERS are able to leave a call back number. Unfortunately, this is the only Credit card Costco accepts and we are frequent shoppers. We will be informing Costco of the lousy customer service and perhaps if there are enough complaints Costco might consider changing their credit card.
Requested an adjustment on excessive fees, almost $300 in 9 weeks, for cash withdrawals caused by low withdrawal limits on overseas ATM's. Total refusal to hear my problem. Disgusted, I closed account and now they blackmail me by withholding my $180 cashback earned as well. Great customer service, would not recommend this bank or credit card to anyone!

Costco capital one mastercard provides very poor service. I made the full payment of $6000 one week earlier than due date, still they withdrew another payment from my account on due date. When I callled, they are not willing to refund money. It is poorly managed card, planning to cancel it. Also very hard to increase credit limit for this card as compared to other credit cards.

Regardless of PIN, photo and other crazy measures to log in it will be you who pays for fraud transaction. Oh yes! Before you pay that fraud, be ready to be a ping-pong ball between Capital One "safety department" agents.
