They do not answer what you are asking for, and different people answer with conflicting information and status of my claim. Takes over a month to get two answers that are conflicting and still no answer about my claim.
Have been trying for weeks to get a hold of someone. Never get a person on the phone, cut off from multiple chats without ever being connected to anyone, email has gone unanswered. This needs to be fixed!!
Never had these issues when we were with other insurance. When will someone help us and get this situation remedied.
Absolutely NO customer service.
I have no idea why the government divorced Sun Life to marry a totally horrible service! There is no customer service; it says if you work for the government, there is no agent available to go online. There is no chat service available. It's been over a week and my claim has not been processed. When finally it was looked at, they ignored the lower part of the invoice and considered the amount before taxes as the claim amount. Is there any training provided to agents processing the claims? What is their education level? I was forced to put 1 star since 0 stars is not accepted.
The staff are not professional and don't know their service, unknowledgeable, rude, unhelpful. When they could not explain their service, they become impatient and rude.

Retiring overseas and trying to get comprehensive coverage set up. I’m showing as having supplementary, which is useless outside Canada. I was told that I would have to do a ‘Positive enrollment’ to get comprehensive coverage started but I cannot get any direction from Canada Life.
I called 3 times - twice the agent hung up on me and a 3rd time the agent said they would call me back but never did.
And, of course, the CR Pension centre is doing nothing to help me. They did suggest I cancel my coverage though…
