Life saving cancer drug needs pre authorization

We are planning on going to Florida for 6 months and tried to get approval for 6 months supply of medication, 23 days later and 6 phone calls and a promise that a supervisor would rush my request I am still waiting for approval, before they approved on the spot, seems like they just want people to get so frustrated that they pay for there own prescriptions, get rid of them, worst customer service I have ever experienced
I am a member of the public service. Worse experience ever with an insurance provider. After becoming administrators for the PSHCP they failed to prepare for the influx of claims. People sitting on thousands of dollars of unpaid claims with little to no chance of ever getting through to an agent. Claims are never updated, people have no idea what is going on. This company is a disaster to deal with. Do not recommend!
They do not answer what you are asking for, and different people answer with conflicting information and status of my claim. Takes over a month to get two answers that are conflicting and still no answer about my claim.
As previously stated by others, this company has absolutely no costumer service. Their automated service will constantly tell you all service representatives are busy and hang up on you. No one answers the online chat.
Their service standards say a claim should be processed within 2-14 days. I have 3 claims outstanding and almost a month old. All the proper documentation has been provided and received by Canada Life. Previous insurer had no issues with the same claims and paid out within a week.
Unless you are forced to be with this incompetent company… give your money to someone who will pick up a phone and want your business.
There appears to be many glitches in Canada Life. It is very hard to reach someone. There was problems processing my physical therapy sessions. I am presently 600 in the hole. I may have to discontinue physiotherapy because I cannot pay our of pocket. This is very discouraging.
I never leave reviews, but really feel the need to do so here. I hope to save you many headaches. I strongly suggest you choose someone other than Canada Life for your extended health benefits. Canada Life lost my manual submissions twice, $money was never reimbursed; predeterminations for dental took over 2 months (my husband's plan, thru a different provider, took less than 72 hours). You'll get transferred to 5 departments, you'll wait in the calling queue on hold for over 30 minutes with each call transfer, have to go through the story 5 times and still not get anywhere in the end.
I've dealt with 4 other service providers over the last 30 years between my work and my husband's work. If you're in the market for individual health benefits and you choose Canada Life, can't say I didn't warn you. Good luck and take care.

I was diagnosed with a cancer that came back. They cannot cure it but it can be treated. The form for pre authorization was sent 3 weeks ago both by the oncology department and Phizer. Both have confirmed that they have had only problems with this company. Today I paid 6200$ for my medication on my credit card. I can’t keep this up. I’m so discouraged.
