The stress this is causing so many veterans

1 out of 5 stars
I've been waiting a month for action on a claim. I've tried the contact form... three times with no result. Nobody replies. The chat is not staffed. The automated telephone service disconnects. It is awful.
They never reply to email and / or message
their claim system over their website is not working for days
their claim system over the mobile app is not working
waiting time to speak to someone is 60 minutes facing the hangup after long wait
Is this a real company or just a scam
My husband is a retired RCMP member and his plan was switched from Sun Life to Canada Life this year. Trying to talk to anyone over there is a nightmare. We are trying to get our meds authorized for the months we spend in Arizona. My husband has been on hold three different times this morning, for an hour each time, he is now on his 4th hour. After an hour, they hang up. I have been on the "online chat" and have been waiting over two hours. Horrific customer service. Don't use this company if you have a choice. They deserve no stars but I couldn't leave a review without marking one
Canada Life took over the public service healthcare plan on July 1 and since that time my pharmacy is unable to process a claim for me. Calls to Canada Life just leaf to a notice saying they’re too busy to answer the phone, the online chat function simply times out, and after submitting an email question I get a blanket response simply blaming the pharmacy for my specific problem (which the pharmacy has confirmed rice now is not accurate).
They have provided our dental coverage for years now, so it’s not like taking over the health component should be a surprise for Canada Life. There is no excuse for the inability to transition over, or at least have the people available to address the issues that arise.
If you are not forced to move to Canada Life, I certainly would not suggest doing so based on your own choice.

It's been over a year and I still can't get coverage, even thought you take my money every month. I'm a veteran of 28 years of service for this country. Now that Canada life has taken over, it's been a year and I'm still paying out of pocket for medications. I completed positive enrollment and after 6 months of misery I was finally able to submit a claim. It worked for 2 months then all my info was deleted and now my family is not covered again. I spend hours on the phone but no one answers. The website does not work, I can't update my profile or submit claims. So what does a veteran do, I guess my only step is the media, I've sent messages, complaints, contacted my member of parliament but here we are still dealing with this very sad excuse for insurance companies. I would love for someone preferably a top executive to contact me to explain why they can not do their job.
