Travel interruption

Over the past few years i have dealt with allianz for a travel refund for canceled flights, of the 3 flights i have recieved 0 refund even though my credit card covers me and insures me of this! This company is a fraud! My most recent experience, my flight was canceled Oct 30 2023 it is now jan 17 2024 and i have not recieved an answer! You may be put on hold for hours and the call gets disconnected, the emails are not responded to in a timely manner. Very disappointed with Allianz!! RBC should not deal with Allianz!

Save your sanity and buy insurance from other company

Don't waste your time or give any hopes to resolve your claim with this company.
Don't buy travel or medical insurance with them. This company should be shut down.
It is a scam. They take your money gladly but always deny claims. To contact somebody and ask about the claim status is almost impossible. I guess you could send an email but don't expect response back. You can try to call but waiting hours won't guarantee you will talk to somebody up there. Save your sanity and buy your travel insurance from somebody else.

Plus de 3 mois après avoir soumis notre réclamation nous attendons toujours notre remboursement. Nous avons appelé à 4 reprises et à chaque fois ont nous dit de rappeler dans 10 jours, car notre dossier n'a pas encore été traiter. Ils sont rapide pour prendre votre paiement, mais lorsque c'est le temps de rembourser les frais médicaux ils prennent leur temps.

RBC Avion Travel/Allianz

Horrible experience with Allianz submitting a claim on flight delay and baggage delay. Their online claims portal doesn’t work, brutal process to submit and lack of communication has left me still trying to get $$ back from the winter storm when our flight was delayed and cancelled.

Avoid them like the plague !

This company should have been shutdown years ago, largely because they’re nothing but scammers! Submitted all the necessary forms for a cancelled trip due to a last minute medical issue, and all I got was to be waiting for 6 months! The online claim number that I was given kept coming up as invalid every time I tried to check on the status. When you finally get through to someone on the phone at Allianz, it’s pretty obvious they don’t give a @$&?! about you, and do their very best to make you go away. I honestly think that’s what they’re paid to do! As I said before, why is a company like this allowed to stay in business, for god’s sake.

Allianz rejected our trip interruption claim, due to fine print

Terrible customer service plus does not pay out on trip interruption claim when another local provincial insurer paid our friend. Equivalent trip interruption claim for the identical trip
Allianz rejected our trip interruption claim, citing fine print on back policy pages states that due to factors out of their control, policy becomes null & void. They also took over 3 months and numerous calls, before staff responded.
Even their front line staff felt we should be reimbursed.

Scam

This company is a scam. You can't reach the customer service. They process your claim for a long time then simply reject with invalid reasons. Ghosting you. Refuse to reply your email or answer your call. Don't purchase any service from this company. Is a waste of money, time and energy.

My flight was cancelled BY THE AIRLINE and rebooked for different dates. I wanted to change my plan or cancel the package I bought to reflect the days I needed. They said because the flight was rebooked and not cancelled due to weather or mechanical function, I could not receive a refund … for coverage I couldn’t even use because it was covering different dates. Also to get someone on the phone was not organized at all, the wait times were horrible, and associates not knowledgeable on all products. I bought the best coverage for my family and paid an expensive amount. And this company could not do anything for me. I lost out on a lot of money and they do not care to rectify the situation. Horrible company and customer service.

Medical Claim

If I could give 0 stars I would - my son had a medical emergency while traveling and had an ER visit. The process to figure out how to submit the claim was so painful. It has been over 6 months and the claim is not resolved as I have debt collectors contacting me. No one answers the phone, no one calls you back when you schedule a call back, no one answers emails etc.

I would avoid this company and seek alternative coverage elsewhere.
