Worst customer service ever!

1 out of 5 stars
We started insurance coverage on June 1, 2018, but actually signed May 8, 2018. No policy was written until the last week of July and only because they had to when our car was stolen. Our quote was for $2100 for a truck, SUV and trailer. They requested a no-fault letter from the previous insurance company regarding a previous accident my husband had. We provided that on July 23, 2018. Pembridge wrote the policy as if he was at fault and our premium is now over $7000 a year because they claim they didn't get the letter in time. They are (presently over 3 months) behind on their paperwork and we are about to make our 3rd $700 payment because they can't or won't fix this! Financially this is impacting us significantly. Contacted our broker again today and still no timeframe to fix this. I'm about to cancel this policy and stop payment on the $700 as we've already paid 8 months of insurance in 2 months! Absolutely worst company ever! Stay away!
Honestly, there should be an option to give a company, who deserves it, a “zero star” rating. I am utterly disgusted by the service I experienced from Claim Advisor, JOANNE T. I advise anyone who gets her as their advisor to switch immediately or you’re going to be dealing with a lot of unnecessary stress by her lack of work experience, knowledge, common sense, professionalism, and compassion to the situation. This person would never respond to my phone calls; was always on mini vacations; would break promises; never completed her task on time and so forth. The only reason why my claim ended the way it did is because of her lack of professionalism and care. On top of this, I requested my insurance to be cancelled 4 times! And they still withdrew money out of my account when I had no vehicle due to an accident. The whole experience was a complete mess, and I would always deal with a problem after another. What was more mind-boggling was their excuses but I don’t want to get into that right now lol. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GET INSURANCE FROM A DIFFERENT COMPANY!
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
Trust me, no-fault insurance in Ontario. The PEMBRIDGE insurance company will not stand on the client side. The adjuster goal is to use the least amount of money to settle the claim. I was involved in an accident. I am the listed drive in the policy but not the policyholder. I got rear-ended. At first, the insurance said because of lane change you caused the accident. You have to pay the deductible. (The repair is less than the deductible). Then I didn't agree on that since the accident happened after the lane change. It was a rear-ended accident. The insurance sends me to special investigation. After that, claim manager spoke to me and policyholder. Your car can be covered by the insurance company because of policyholder but we are going to sue the listed driver. They believe that is intentionally caused the accident. Therefore, the insurance company doesn't cover any of damages and loss. Based on what I see here, they are finding the different reason to charge you at fault so that they can pay out less. Also, they did not follow the Ontario Fault determination rule to determine the fault. We are going to Ombudsman to get help. Asking General Insurance Ontario (GIO) for help. I am very disappointed that after being a client with Pembridge insurance then the insurance is filing lawsuit to their client.
Terrible to deal with. This company will never admit when they are in error. They have no scruples and don’t care if they affect your credit rating. AVOID!!!
I was quoted $1425/year and paid in full. 5 months later and without advance notice, they inform me I owe an additional $2048 or risk cancelling my policy without giving me a reason why. After following up with them, the price increase was due to a previous claim and traffic violation, so I decide to cancel immediately. I expect to be re-imbursed the remainder of the 7 months (approx. $825) but Pembridge claim I owe an extra $37. For 5 months, I was led to believe I was paying $1425/year but later they tell me the >200% price increased 5 months later!? I would've cancelled my coverage right away if I knew. Contemplating whether to take this up to small claims.
TRUE ACCIDENT FORGIVENESS rate went up 15.4% after a not at fault accident. Other car was issured by Allstate. Would not lell me why, but said was approved by FSCO. FSCO and others said they do not approve policy premiums of insurance companies.
Checked approved rating by FSCO for over all premium adjustment and my premium was a way out of line. Collision in 2016 was $198 then days later $179 then in less than a year in 2017 $403. Insurance bureau in an email stated my car collision rating had not changed from 2015 to 2017.
Called several times to the ombudsman and left a message no return call.
Was even asked to show my bank statement to show they took money from my bank and not my credit card. Left the company.
It's a scam to steal people's money. That's why they accept credit cards to get the payments out. Stay away from these guys.
Contacted them for Auto insurance Quote, the lady hang up on me, saying I have to go through a broker not them directly. Do not call them!
If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.
I was hit from behind on I-376 W, at 9:50 AM on July 20, approaching the Edgewood exit. I am not hurt but the car is damaged. The car, apparently (I found this out after the fact), was insured by PEMBRIDGE; it took several calls, but the US number listed on their website finally worked; I was told that until the driver, David K. from Ontario, reported the accident they could do nothing; my US insurance agency tells me this is unheard of; also they do not have 24/7 telephone coverage - only weekdays office hours; the driver has not responded to numerous attempts to do the right thing; this is a cheap insurance company meant to satisfy the minimum requirements and making legitimate claims as difficult as possible.

Shortly after buying both home and auto policy with Pembridge through PC Insurance I received letters in the mail indicating that they did not receive my payment and I would have to pay the full policy up front as well as a $50 fee for both policies. I contacted PC financial to find out what happened as they had my direct banking info, they said I gave them the wrong information and it was my fault. I gave them the information again, and asked them to open an investigation, as I was sure I read the numbers on my cheque correctly. I received a voicemail a day or 2 later confirming that after they listened to the recording, they realized I did give them the correct banking info and it was their fault. They said they would wave the fee and they would just take the 2 missing payments. I should have checked my bank account because they did not take the payments. I got an email from PC about a month and a half later saying they just want to make sure I received the message from Pembridge that they didn't receive my payment. I called right away and asked what happened, as I was told the payment issue was resolved, they put me on hold while they called Pembridge, the representative then came back and said the policies were cancelled 2 weeks prior due to non-payment. I said that was crazy, why wasn't I contacted? She did not have an answer and said they could not reinstate my policies and there would be a 2-week waiting period for them to find me another insurer. On top of that, it's difficult to get insurance when your policy has been cancelled due to non-payment!!
