Poor customer service

I know all insurance companies are a pain, but this one is in a different league. YOU personally have to follow up with management about your cases multiple times, when they finally contact you, they deny your claim as soon as possible; if you need to claim any medical benefits, or drugs, ect, 90% of the time the website & phones are "down due to technical issues."
Good luck claiming anything or getting any coverage.
Canada Life is the worst example of a competent company that I can imagine. Phone service - almost non existent. They keep you on line for a very long time, then they hang up. I have never been able to talk to an agent.
I am a retired public servant and I have been trying unsuccessfully for weeks to reach them and every time I am put on hold forever and I eventually give up. This is totally unacceptable with crappy service. This needs to be fixed ASAP.
This company is set up to intentionally be hostile, but companies sign on to them because the costs seem lower. Wait times are long or hostile on purpose this is done to reject claims or push the pay dates and save money. Unfortunately, companies get suckered into going with them due to lower costs, but then employees who deal with them are abused.
I was just on the phone with a representative from Canada Life. I have an account through work and was looking at my dashboard while chatting with her. She couldn't pull up my account. She asked to put me on hold. I was on hold for over 30 minutes before she hung up on me. I don't know what kind of customer service this is. It shouldn't be that hard to find my account.
I can’t express how frustrating it is to try to get information from this company! I can’t even get representatives to give me valid names or employee numbers so conversations can not be referenced and I’m always left trying to answer “who told you that “. Right now I’ve been in a queue on the phone for over 2 hours because my sign-in information mysteriously doesn’t work. I think a large part of their business model relies on frustrating the clients so much that they give up...

Canada Life has insane wait times on the phone help desk, seemingly to discourage plan participants for making claims. I have been on hold for over 40 minutes. Not acceptable.
