Insulin Pump

by Alexander Kaderkulof on Nov 26, 2023
1 out of 5 stars

The long waiting time it takes to process recurrent and regular claims, even when these a recurrent every month or every three months, Ex: if you have a condition like DIABETES TYPE 1 and you are insulin-dependent and will need insulin pump and supplies for the rest of your life, WHY DOES IT TAKE 20 DAYS to get this type of claims processed???
Why if the insurance was covering the remaining balance of the insulin pump for a year, suddenly one day the insurance sent me a letter saying this is no longer covered? they decided it would no longer be covered, without any prior email or notification about the changes.
If you can stay away from this so-called insurance company

the worst insurance ever

Talking a very long time to get a claim, when there is a problem also takes a long time to support. The support is not 24 hours, no weekend and only support to the plan member (no family member) this even make the issue difficult to resolve. Also, the time zone is different making it even more difficult. If there was zero stars, I would give it zero stars.
The system is not consistent. This is the worst ever insurance system and support. Only cheap companies are using this cheap insurance.

Insurance claim

My father is fighting for his life thru Shingles and insurance can't even answer the phone. Just claiming for an insurance you're paying is literally begging . Service and reliability are so bad.

Did you know there is a 35% chance of developing a critical illness before you are 65 and 65%-70% chance before you turn 81? That means getting a critical illness insurance quote is no less important than getting life insurance. Your choice.

overall, all interactions are very poor at best.

I gave up on calling in because the service is equal to dealing with a child who likes to disagree. Tried contacting them through the website Contact Us.
1) An inquiry was put in six weeks ago, then four weeks ago and finally three weeks ago for the same reason. Still haven't heard back.
2) A claim was put in over three weeks ago for a substantial amount and it is still pending with no explanations or reasons. I must be made of money.
3) A different inquiry was put in recently for a different item to see if we have coverage. Still nothing.

It seems as though they are very understaffed or the staff, they do have, are incompetent. It could very well be both. Regardless of the reasons, I would never choose them over our previous provider. I would have given them all zero stars but that was not an option. I'll call a duct cleaning company to see if they offer a better service.

Wait Time... Waste Time

by SD on Oct 27, 2023

Terrible wait times to get connected to an agent. No call back option when you can receive a call once an available agent is ready. I waited 2 hours... TWO hours to get connected. For a big company, this is absolutely unacceptable. Phone call and claims take forever to process. I would not recommend this insurance company at all. Come on, Canada Life! Customers don't have enough time in the day, stop wasting ours!!!

Did you know that if you are a 30-year old male, a term life insurance policy for 20 years with coverage of $200,000 will cost you around $19/month? Getting your term life insurance quote today will allow you to benefit from a great rate.

If there would be a zero, I would put it. Awful!

My organization recently switched to Canada Life for insurance, and I’ve had a highly frustrating experience:

1. I called with an urgent matter and endured a 60-minute wait, only to be abruptly disconnected.
2. I tried their chat service, waited for over an hour, and was disconnected without speaking to anyone.
3. Even my pharmacist encountered the same issue.
4. I sent three emails, waited for over 15 days, and received no response – it’s as if nobody’s there.
5. In desperation, I contacted the doctors’ line, waited for 45 minutes, explained my situation, but was promised a call back that never happened.
6. Feeling even more desperate, I submitted a claim-like request, attached a PDF letter detailing everything, and requested a response to my email. I’ve been waiting for 5 days and counting.
7. In all my 60 years, I’ve never experienced such disastrous and stressful service.
8. I intend to file complaints with my organization and Canada Life, advocating for improvements in these paid services for both myself and others.

The worst Insurance Company

Waited over an hour. Nobody ever responded.
I already miss my last Insurance provider. They said we will save money and already with my prescription drugs I am already paying more. What a scam.

Did you know that if you are a 35-year old female, a term life insurance policy for 10 years with coverage of $500,000 will cost you around $15-$20/month? Getting your life insurance quote today will allow you to lock-in a great rate.

The worst Insurance Company in Canada

This is what Canada Life does:

1. Takes several months to process your claims and always find the ways to reduce the compensation amount.
2. When you call them, even though they say the waiting time is from 50 to 60 minutes (!) they keep you on hold from 2 to 3 HOURS!
3. When you identify the issue, they tell you that they will escalate it and that an agent or a supervisor will call you within next 3 business days. However, NO ONE EVER CALLS YOU. And when you call them again and wait on hold for 3 hours just to find out that NOTHING has been escalated and NO ONE was supposed to call you.
4. They promise you that your claim will be finalized "by the end of the week". However, it takes MONTHS instead for the claims to be finalized.
5. In the rare times when they call you, they don't even bother leaving you a voice message or sending you an email, making you guess what was the reason for their call.
