Dental insurance denial

Hours and hours and hours on the phone waiting only to be switched to somebody's voicemail!
They are "falling behind" processing October claims. I hope they are processing 2023 and not claims from the previous years.
I am a retiree from the Public Service and as of this past July we were switched from Sunlife to Canada Life. Every year around this time, I would call Sunlife to get my spouse's meds approve for the 6 months. Never had any issues, ever. It would get approved while I was on the phone. 24 to 48 hours max and we could pick them up! With Canada Life, I called last Thursday, said they would get back to me early this week... Nothing yet, so today I called, on hold over 1 and 1/2 hour. Nothing cause 5pm came around and they close at this time. I truly hope this will get approved tomorrow, pharmacist keeps getting rejected. This is what we get for working for the PS... You retire and they switch us to this.
Customer service people never picked up the phone even if I hold it for an hour. After an hour they hang up the phone. This happed to me 6 times.

I would advise individuals against engaging in any business dealings with Canada Life, as my experience with their insurance services has been unsatisfactory. The lengthy processing times and lack of clear communication have resulted in numerous errors and the need for repeated submission and reevaluation of requests.
Furthermore, it appears that the company is inclined to seek justifications to deny claims.
In my opinion, companies seeking cost-effective and reliable insurance solutions should explore alternatives to Canada Life.
