Check your Walmart credit cards people. This sleazy company automatically charges you MONTHLY without your signature. Greasy way to do business

Horrible customer service

by Angry customer on Jun 19, 2019

I, recently, got married, I called to change my name and was given 2 option I can fax my marriage certificate and ID or mail so I took both option info. Later that day (3 months ago) I faxed! After 2 months I called to ask what’s up, they said they didn’t get it (funny cuz fax was received) so I was given mailing address again and send info in with a letter and notes on their computers (and the same I did for the Costco card). Last week received a Cosco card! So today June 19 - I call! The guy on the phone was so rude to me, treating me like I’m dumb and blaming me saying he won’t give me address cuz I’ll just confirm that that’s the one I sent it to. After arguing with him for 10 minutes (trying to get the address) I finally hung up! I have had enough with this company and use and pay off my card and have been since 2011! Every time I call - it’s a fight whether it be limit change (because they decide after I make a $2000 payment they will drop my limit) without notice. Had fraud issues and it was a fight! They refused for months to take the insurance off, and info change!

Horrible experience! Calling them back to see why they called me... They refused me access to my account, for answering a question correctly but the information isn't up to date in their system and they penalized me... Refused access to my card or even to talk with anyone... THEY REFUSED TO GIVE EMPLOYEE ID or NAME../ REFUSED to escalate to a manager!

Worst experience in life

by Sukhvir on May 17, 2019

I bought a product online with Walmart MasterCard. After entering the wrong SecureCode at the final step, the card got "Hold". I reset the code, called customer care. They said, it's all OK and the payment will go through. But here my problem starts. The hold on my card continued even on offline transactions. Wherever I tapped or inserted my card, it "declined". Called, Walmart MasterCard people, again and again, almost 4 times. Every time got the answer, "Everything is OK now. You will not have any problem" but the same story continues till now. Also, even after assurance at the end of every call, got another, to reassure if I am the right person. If you miss that call, hold continues and if you pick that call and verify your identity, the hold still continues. As a result, I lost that great deal of almost $400 savings, the order was cancelled and the product was no more there on a deal. WORST!! WORST!! WORST!!! experience with Walmart MasterCard.

Card feature is fine, redeem easily, but customer service is really poor... Rude speech and no multilanguage service.

Awful credit card service

I maintained this credit card for 3 months. I am regretting going for this. I made the payment for a month 1 day before the due date but the transaction was posted two days later which resulted in a 25 credit points drop in my score. I am going to cancel it soon.

credit limit change

In mid-March, I ordered an online product using my Walmart Mastercard. I then received warnings about the company I purchased from. I was concerned so lowered my credit limit with Walmart Mastercard to $1000. I also spoke to a customer service rep who said that I could increase it again at any time. I must note that I had also received 2 previous letters from Walmart Mastercard offering to increase my credit limit to $4500 as I am an excellent customer. After 6 weeks and a few major purchases I was close to my credit limit (I have since paid it off) so thought I had better increase to $2000. I applied and have been denied. I have been told I have to wait 6 months to increase. I was never told this before. I am very angry. I was not told this before. I do not exceed credit limits but do want this buffer for emergencies. Time to return to BOM Mastercard as they have been missing me.

Unbelievably rude and nasty

by devonshireboy on Apr 27, 2019

I got a call from Walmart security about 'suspicious activity' on my account. The activity they were referring to was that I made a payment more than my credit limit. Because I got a low interest transfer from my TD Visa card. Well, they said I had to PROVE where the payment came from and that they were FREEZING my account. When I called TD about it, the lady said she had done literally thousands of balance transfers over the years and she had never heard of such a thing. She said 'why does Walmart need to know where the money came from? Why do they care?' So when I called Walmart back and asked the woman, her already haughty attitude turned nasty. 'We don't have to return the money to you' she said. 'we can keep it as long as we want'. I said 'I made a previous large payment of $5,000 and you didn't question it' and she said 'no you didn't'. So I went home to my computer and called back. Right away she said 'are you the guy who called before about your large payment?' I said 'yes'. Again she said I had never made a previous payment, and when I said 'I'm looking at it right now on my computer screen' she said 'what's your card number?'

WORST CARD EVER

by Veryunhappy on Apr 9, 2019

I had a Walmart MasterCard that I just cancelled today and I opened up the account back in January. By February they reported incorrectly a missed payment on my credit report and, then lowered my credit limit on the credit card even though I haven’t missed a single payment. It is the worst and I repeat the worst credit card company out there. I highly recommend every single person avoid them like the plague.
