Worst fraud prevention and customer service in all credit card providers. I noticed unauthorized transactions on my credit card, called and reported it - they wouldn't begin a fraud investigation until I reported this to the police and Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre. I asked 3 different customer service agents to cancel my card because there is fraud taking place, all three said this was done. For 2 months they fought me to make me pay for fraudulent transactions - including transactions after I asked them to freeze my card.
It wasn't until 3 months later before they finally credited me back - and I think they only completed this action because of the Canadian Anti-Fraud center's intervention.
It's been 7 months and I am still fighting to get all my money back.
I had a Walmart Mastercard and was surprised when I received my statement of account that I had so many unauthorized transactions. I immediately called and informed them. The following month, I received another statement of account but all the unauthorized transactions were still there. I went to the Walmart store where I opened my Mastercard, and the Store Manager was very kind and helpful. He promised me that he would communicate this issue to the concerned department. I was happy when I received the next statement of account as they already zeroed out. After a couple of months, I received another statement, and the unauthorized transactions have appeared again. I called and was promised once again that they will refer my case to the concerned person. I hope Walmart can do something about this as this is not a good reflection on them as they don't have a secured system. Customers are prone to fraudulent activities.

Do not. Do not do it. Do not even contemplate it. Got the card, it’s been hacked three times (awful security). The bigger nightmare is trying to close your account. Closed my card (or so I thought) yet another payment magically showed up three months later that I had no clue about. Ended up going to claims and my credit score dropped by 150 points over 2 months. I’ve had a flawless credit score for 12 years. Do not, Do not, Do not.
My card was compromised and it was a nightmare dealing with the security department. It took many calls to resolve. They were supposed to put a block on the card so that it can’t be used, but they didn’t and the scammers kept using it. I called so many times, kept getting transferred then disconnected. Long story, but in short they’re very incompetent and it was a terrible customer service experience
I do not understand why this card has so many security blocks. I go abroad and I left notes telling them was travelling and they still go ahead and block my card. Also to get unblocked was a disaster and the lady kept me online for an hour asking all kinds of stupid questions. For a small $3K limit card this is annoying and the service very bad as they kept transferring me between departments.
Horrible card - stay away!

I got a credit card from Walmart. I used it and shortly after I was told my card was locked by Walmart and the security department had to verify my identity and I needed to fax a copy of my Drivers license and utility bill. It’s been over two months. I keep calling to ask if the fax was received and status on the review Walmart security department says they are doing to only be told that someone will call me once the review is done. These practices by Walmart are crazy and there is no manager or supervisor overseeing the Philippinos answering the calls. This is the first time that I had been approved for a credit card online and such weird practices have been used by the creditor. I would not recommend Walmart Credit Card to anyone. Why bother give you a credit card if you don’t want the customer to use it. Your fraud department needs an overhaul. Walmart secret shoppers racially profile blacks while they shop and is not a good practice
In April two large fraudulent charges were posted on my card. I phoned and notified them they were not mine. Walmart agreed the charges were weird however, they didn't take them off my account. Said they needed to investigate. Three months go by with me calling in periodically to check the status. Today, in July, I closed my account and filed a formal complaint as the charge still remains. I checked my credit rating and it has dropped 113 points over this (815 to 702). Last month the security department told me it was fixed and to wait until the next billing statement. This month they said the same thing. I will be contacting the credit bureau to try and restore my rating. Stay away from this junk and don't get caught up in their spiderweb of incompetence.
Very poor process of unblocking card, it will take two weeks, doesn’t explain why they blocked the card, they will ask you personal information over and over and over and yet it is not enough to help me resolve my problem. It is already two weeks since the card was blocked, and told to wait for another 7 to 10 days, I cannot use my card,

Had fraud on my card so, got a call about it and the guy asked me as well not normal questions. Some hours later we got a call from our bank and they needed our info because someone made a transfer. So, as well he needed our PIN # to fix the problem, after talking to him for a while he mentioned all this info that I gave this guy some hours before from Walmart MasterCard (the info we never used anywhere else)... The phone number was from New York so we knew it was not our bank. We called MasterCard and explained to them what had happened and we would like to close our account because we can’t trust them after this horrible experience... We tried 3 times and every single time they listen to our story and then put us on hold and after waiting for a long time it disconnected... Walmart MasterCard can’t be trusted!
Do not use this card... Walmart does nothing to protect you from fraud and doesn't really care... In fact, they make it almost impossible to cancel your card when you report fraud. They pass you to customer service representatives and try to talk you out of it and are not helpful at all... It is the worst company we have ever dealt with and we recommend not getting a Wallmart master card... So glad to rid this company of our money. Worst company ever!
