Walmart Mastercard service is so pathetic that we can trash it.
That’s what I and thousands of North Americans already did, below are the worst features:
No Proper Customer Service
No proper online monthly statements
No proper and convenient payment methods
No communication
The card didn’t arrive till 3 months after signing up
The card doesn’t work in Walmart itself during the first usage
There were fake line items of usage which were not even used
Fake promises of rewards for every 5 dollars spent however when enquired the customer service behaved as if no rewards were promised ever
Walmart customer service is never approachable and reachable and never willing to take any responsibility!
I git the card. Did I installments for a Chrome book. Brought it back in January. They said they refunded me $225.00 Then they took to put the installment for $33.67 in February. Then March $188.37 That doesn't seem right? You can't refund for a returned product then add it to your balance. That's a scam

Where do I start... two fraudulent cash advances in a land far, far away that we have never been to with this card. Call Customer Service the same day we notice the fraudulent charges and after giving an abundance of information to the agent, she mentions that she will need to refer us to the fraud department. The fraud agent asks for pretty much all of the same information then says she will need to research it. Calls back and confirms the transactions are fraudulent. A few days later, the charge for the (fraudulent) cash advance appear on our statement... Yea I know, comical, farcical... Call back a couple of weeks later to ask why charges haven't been credited and after almost a carbon copy of the initial interaction with the first level of agent incompetence, she tells us the notes on the file indicate that the fraud agent couldn't get in touch with us! The customer service agent indicates she needs to transfer us to the fraud group again. We ask for a supervisor... on hold for a few minutes and then told that there is no supervisor available. She then says the charges will be taken off our account within 24 hours... more than 24 hours later still no resolution. Not sure when the circus will end but if you're thinking of applying for this card DON'T!
Nasty, unprofessional, dirty, stay away from this scam in Walmart stores to get you a card, and when you need help customer service is unprofessional, phone systems are nasty and there is no resolution but just a runaround and call transfers.
I wish I can rate them in Negative trillion stars...
Your rewards can just disappear whenever they want and the reasons can be a bouquet of unrelated matters of their choosing. Dealing with customer service is pain and leads nowhere, just use a real reputable banks card instead.

Didn't use my card for quite a while so was charged an inactivity fee, that's fine. What isn't fine is that they cancelled my account without telling me or sending any sort of letter to let me know. I still was getting account statements in the mail two months ago. And my card was only good for 4 more months anyway so not sure why they cancelled it now. Never again.
When Walmart Mastercard updated its website, some changes made were good, and some NOT.
The previous Walmart MC website always had on the left column the following info:
Current Balance, Min Due, Credit Limit etc. If you were trying to balance by viewing past transactions, seeing your current balance helped. No matter what you were viewing, that info could always be seen.
With the New Walmart MC website, this info is only available on the main page and once you leave that page, you better have memorized it all. If you were trying to balance and forgot what your Current Balance was, you would have to leave the page you are on, go back to the main page, and start all over.
I have emailed Walmart Customer Service about this issue, and they told me they have nothing to do with the Walmart MC website and to contact the Credit Card Customer Support. So I messaged them, and they also said they do not take care of this and referred me back to Walmart. No one wants to take the initiative to help or refer me to the right place.
Why could they not have your Current Balance available when viewing transactions, up on top in the shaded blue part? There is plenty of space. So frustrating when you are trying to balance.
Why will no one LISTEN!
Do not get this Mastercard, if you are young and just starting out (college, university etc.) The minimum payments are way too much money per month. Every time a minimum payment is made it gets completely overridden by the interest.. the interest is 29.99%. They want you to pay the minimum payment for 9 months THEN the interest will go to 19.99%... WOW, what a difference... NOT. If you do not make a payment in time they will contact you every single day and call 6-8 times throughout the day. They called me at 8:30 pm and their customer service is AWFUL. They sound like they are telemarketing or spam... please do not get this card if you want to have a good credit score and want to save $80-$100 each month.

I am trying to register my Walmart Mastercard online on their website. Unable to complete it every after trying 4 different times on different dates. Their customer call center is a joke. They don't solve any of your problems and keep transferring to the next department ultimately cutting the call. DON'T OPT.
Applied for the WM MC was approved, card sent, activated it, went shopping, then they blocked my card "due to security verification and was told 5-7 business days before they could even unblock. Asked me to fax in documents, which I have done. First off, who uses faxes in today's world? 2nd, 5-7 days??? This sounds absurd for the length of time.
Was indicated someone had called in with my account# on which I have no idea who this person is (they gave a name and phone # they called in from) but am not buying this. Sounds like they made up a name to give me. I have only used the card 1 time online, 1 at a Walmart store and then at a grocery store.
Update, April 14th,
Duo bank responded to the review (this review) inviting me to call in. I did (call in).
I got the same lady, this is now 4 times reaching that EXACT same person, who by the way has no place on this planet answering phones or dealing with clients.
I asked her does anyone else works there? No response to that.
So the fax that was sent 3 days ago, was "just received today 3 days after" wow I guess Canada Post sent it to them after travelling around the world a few times. Now 3-4 days has passed and I am still being told 5-7 days.....No explanations, nothing.
Having dealt with several other credit cards and well over decades, this is the first time I have ever dealt with some of the DUMBEST people on this planet.
They do NOT take security seriously, they do NOT provide explanations properly, and they certainly do NOT respect their clients.
