Pembridge refused medical treatment and has made my life very hard

My contract was up, and I had to switch companies as Pembridge couldn't offer the type of insurance I needed anymore. I had paid off all outstanding payments. 3 months later I received a letter saying it was final notice (this was the first and only letter I received from them) and that my overdue amount was about to go to collections. I spoke with numerous people and they all said the overdue amount was because I didn't finish my contract. Each time the teller would say they needed to call me back because there was no description as to why I owed money. After talking to finance, they would come back and say it's because I broke the contract. Which I didn't. And had a proof. They refused to do anything and I was FORCED to pay them money I didn't owe, or else they were sending it to collections. SUPER SLIMY!
On January 9, 2022, I was in an accident. I reported the accident to Pembridge Claims that evening. Today is February 7, 2022, and I have heard absolutely nothing from them. After numerous calls to the claims department and being on hold for over 30 minutes each time, that is if I wasn't disconnected, I finally called my Broker. They too, could not get an answer as to what was happening with my vehicle. An adjuster has not been to assess the damage.
If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.
I'm trying to get my deductible reimbursement since October 30th, 2021.
My claim was closed without any contact and I’ve called to try and escalate the matter several times only to be told a manager will call me back. NO ONE called me back ever! I’m still trying to reach someone... I really don’t understand how this company functions or even exists. Trust me that other insurance companies do not operate like this… I’ve worked for a few in the last decade and Pembridge is by far the worst I’ve seen.
Beware fraud, unprofessional and untrustworthy. We sign up with Pembridge insurance in February and I was quoted $590 /monthly for home and auto and in April they started taking about $790 from my account. I contacted my broker manager at Stoneridge insurance at Mississauga and he promised me that he will talk to insurance and get it fixed. After so many calls he told me that Insurance declines my discounts because I didn’t agree to get a device on my car but I never received any emails or text from insurance. He gave me a contact of a manager at insurance (insurance never gave you any information and told me to speak with a broker). The manager said they weren’t given my information on time by the broker and broker said he did. By that time 3 more payments were taken out from my account. So, at last, I was promised to cancel my insurance without penalty. What that wasn’t end of it? I was slapped with threats of paying a cancellation or effecting my credit scores and insurance said to speak with my broker and broker was very rude and stopped taking my calls and stopped replying my emails. At last, after suffering for 4-5 months matter was resolved with the help of my legal advisor (but I still don’t trust them).
I was hit from behind on I-376 W, at 9:50 AM on July 20, approaching the Edgewood exit. I am not hurt but the car is damaged. The car, apparently (I found this out after the fact), was insured by PEMBRIDGE; it took several calls, but the US number listed on their website finally worked; I was told that until the driver, David K. from Ontario, reported the accident they could do nothing; my US insurance agency tells me this is unheard of; also they do not have 24/7 telephone coverage - only weekdays office hours; the driver has not responded to numerous attempts to do the right thing; this is a cheap insurance company meant to satisfy the minimum requirements and making legitimate claims as difficult as possible.
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
This company is a scam. They threat you to cancel your auto insurance if you don't pay the FULL AMOUNT of your insurance for the year! They give you ONE DAY notice for the payment.
They did not notify me of cancellation back in February. Now it's making renewal harder...
They also changed their policy so they don't accept monthly payments so now they want $2800 all up front to renew.
Done with this company.
Very slow insurance services for accident reimbursement. Ex. Towing cost from the accident location to reporting center, and reporting center to repair body shop. Also, the replacement parts are not all from OEM. Some from after market and some from OEM. I emailed more than 3 times and left 2 voicemail to ask to call back from pembridge. Never received a call back or email.
I had accident spring 2015. I was so impressed with the service and overall experience. My claim advisor was Daniel Kim, Ontario Property Division. I had two car seats replaced immediately. When I had an issues with the Body Shop as the quality of work was poor they allowed me to bring my car to another Body Shop. My car rental fees were all taken care of Pembridge - AllState, the car went through 2 body shops for repairs the costs of my rental were high and I didn't spend any penny and they even made sure I had an excellent rental car. They all made sure the second Body Shop (Royal Body Shop) will address all the issues which they did and all damaged parts were replaced, I got all brand new parts from my own service center Nissan.

After being rear-ended by a car going 70Kph, the car that hit us did not have insurance or a driver's license.
So my insurance (Pembridge) was supposed to cover Any therapy & treatment needed after the accident.
The only treatment Pembridge covered was at CBI London Ontario. Don't go there...
We had to do physio over webcam since the pandemic.
Pembridge denied all treatment after webcam physio.
1. Ortho - I hit my face on the steering wheel
2. Chiro
3. Massage therapy
I advise you to call a lawyer because Pembridge definitely is breaking the law & not processing claims taking out on their customers.
