Absolutely horrible and dishonest

I was in a mental distress and deposited the money in a wrong account. Two months later, they cancel my policy. I could have paid all the premium in one go!
Very heartless for customers who are with this company for almost 10 years. Things happen, but the way they treated me was very bad. I don't recommend them to anyone. I never claimed anything, never missed a payment, but the way they acted, I will not be them for too long.
Bad Business ethics.
Pembridge Insurance are absolute gangsters. Gangster tactics. I had trouble paying for my insurance due to a recent death in the family. I had to chip in. Two months ago, I asked for a grace period. I was still going to pay but needed a two weeks grace. They said yes. This was back a couple of months ago to make sure I gave them a heads-up. They agreed. I find out now they want payment now. At the final hour. My Insurance just expired at 12:00 last night. They are liars, they have gangster tactics. They raised my rate for no reason. Not one claim have I never filed with them. I've been with them five years. They are liars, cheaters. I'm a Law Clerk. These are gangster tactics. You don't pay up, you're done. Do not go near them. They have the worst reviews I've ever seen. The matter has gone to the Ombudsman. Their tactics are questionable.
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
I regret to say that my experience with Pembridge Auto Insurance has been nothing short of a nightmare. From exorbitant pricing to abysmal customer service, this company has failed on multiple fronts.
Firstly, let's talk about their pricing model. When I initially signed up with Pembridge for my 2015 Jeep Wrangler Zahara 4d, I was shocked to see the monthly premium set at a staggering $480. Their justification? The vehicle was over 6 years old. Fast forward to November 2023, when I upgraded to a brand new 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4d. One would expect the premium to decrease given the newer model, right? Wrong. Instead, it skyrocketed even higher, all because the car was new. How does that make any sense?
But wait, it gets worse. A payment issue turned into a complete nightmare. Due to a fraud alert on my credit card, my payment to Pembridge was affected for less than 24 hours. I wasn't even aware of this until I received a letter in the mail two weeks later, stating that I had lost my monthly payment option and was now required to pay the entire year's premium upfront, totaling around $5,000. Despite immediately reaching out to both Pembridge and my bank to resolve the issue, it quickly turned into a bureaucratic nightmare.
Pembridge demanded a letter from my bank explaining the situation, which took over four weeks to arrive. In the meantime, they not only canceled my policy but also left me uninsured for a month and a half, with a red flag on my record due to their incompetence. Despite my repeated attempts to rectify the situation and offer alternative payment methods, they remained obstinate, ultimately leaving me in the lurch.
In conclusion, Pembridge Auto Insurance has not only demonstrated a complete lack of understanding and flexibility in their pricing and payment policies but has also showcased abysmal customer service and bureaucratic inefficiency. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for your insurance needs.
I got quoted, signed the contract, paid my full year insurance. 15 days later they came back with a higher quote - almost $500.00 more. I dont believe that this is the way to do business.
I had very bad experience and don't fall in to traps of brokers to choose this company, I canceled my car insurance on 5 Oct, after 4 months they didn't reimburse my money which have been taken in summer for first and last deposit of renewal, however I didn't made contact for renewing for current year .
If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.
I was hit by another car while at a stop sign. I’ve never really have been injured before. Pembridge insurance adjuster has made my life so difficult. I do not receive responses nor do any of the health care providers ( physios, massage therapist, concussion clinic or eye Neurologist). There is constant barriers put up and delays.
I could never imagine my own insurance treating me like this. I have a care team willing to help me but there are such delays which has not allowed me to return back to work full time.
I am a public health care provider and I would never deny a patient care ever. I am made to feel like I’ve done something wrong.
I called main office requesting change of adjuster or at the very least someone return my call but no one has.
My colleagues and family are in disbelief.
Truck got into an accident 5 months ago. It’s still sitting at the body shop waiting on approval for repairs. It was a third party at fault and they still won’t give approval to fix. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
My car is undriveable after an accident. It took Pembridge 12 days for first contact about my claim. 18 days after my accident and my car is STILL sitting in the tow yard where it was put right after the accident. No answers, no forward movement, nothing. EXTREMELY frustrated.
Nice and helpful willing to suit my needs but still a little pricey (on disability so it would be nice for insurance to offer a cheaper option without having to remove collision just to save some money) but overall eveytime I’ve had a question they’ve been answered well and quickly even when they had to call me back about an inquiry it wasn’t too long of a wait 😊

There's are a reason Pembridge is cheap. You get what you pay for.
Pembridge penalized me for taking a cash payout instead of fixing my vehicle after submitting a claim where the other driver was at fault. My vehicle is older and it was mainly paint damage; not worth me fixing. Other insurers don't do this.
Another claim they tagged as 50/50 had a net payout of zero because no damage to my vehicle and the other party didn't complete their claim. I find out 3 years later that 50/50 means both parties at fault.
So I have an at fault claim that affects my rates when no money paid out.
Both incidents took way too long to resolve. Claims department is backed up and busy.
Avoid Pembridge at all costs.
Cheap at the start but will cost you in the end.
