I had 4 fraudulent charges; 2 in Feb and 2 in March. I started calling on April 8 to try to get a new card and credits.
Since then, I received 3 identical cards - nothing changed and NOT a new card until the 4th card came at the end of May. I have called 7 times totally more than 5 hours of my time that I cannot get back. To date, I received 1 credit and not for any of the amounts I've been charged.
I've tried to speak with a supervisor or manager or director of the customer service or fraud department and apparently, they don't speak with customers. Still waiting for a callback. The frustration level I am experiencing is beyond acceptable. This was my main card before this and it will no longer be in the future.
Never ever apply for a Walmart Rewards Mastercard. Insane problems, they will put unnecessary "security blocks" so you have to send them additional identification by fax (who uses a fax anymore)... I suspect a secondary scam. My credit is excellent and I fear they have created problems. I cancelled my card and I am still receiving charges, likely from sending them identification to unblock.
The entire support does not speak English. Absolutely no online account to check or verify current charges. Walmart promises discounts for signing up, I would not sign up for a million dollars!!!

I just recently found out that my credit card has been a fraud, so I called customer service for help. But I have been put on hold for more than 2 hours until someone answered my call but had to transfer me to the security department. Then another waiting until someone from the security dept answered my call. When I told him about my problem, he put me on hold right away with no reason why and then I got on hold again, only to find out I have been sent back to the regular department...
I recently found fraudulent charges on my credit card, I had no idea what these things were... So I googled the company names and was like - what??? I never ordered anything from these websites… These are hundreds of dollars of charges… After being on hold for about an hour which I understand it can take a while especially during a pandemic… I finally get a human being on the phone and explain the situation… she politely asks me if I mistakenly signed up for a free trial or subscribed to something I explained no and that I have done my research and looked back on my transactions I did not make these transactions… she was like - ok, I will have to transfer you to the security department… After again maybe half an hour of being on hold the representative abruptly comes on the phone asking how he can help… I start explaining the situation and give him my card number. He rudely cuts when off when I was talking and basically repeated what I had said. I started saying I'm calling about charges I didn't make on my credit card he interrupts me while saying that and yells on the phone… I SEE YOUR CALLING ABOUT CHARGES ON YOUR CARD… Then he says - do you remember seeing something on Facebook or Instagram about winning a free phone and do you remember putting in your credit card? I said - no, I never did that! I try to explain in more details and he cuts me off again… Saying “really you don't remember let e repeat it again for you slower” (like I'm stupid) and he repeats it again and I said - NO I DID NOT MAKE THOSE TRANSACTIONS… He was like - ok, I will note you say that you didn't make those charges… Eventually, he cancelled my card and said he'd be sending me a new one… He talked down to me like I couldn't understand how a credit card works or what internet fraud is… I could not believe how he spoke to me and he completely changed his tone when I started getting angry… I am so angry never have I ever had such horrible customer service!!!
If I could give zero stars I would. Card arrived. Took FOREVER to get thru to activate. Finally got it activated after waiting on hold for almost 2 hours. Guy tells my husband it is activated and to have a good weekend. Never said there was anything wrong. Next, we try to use the card - it wouldn't work. So again we call in and are on hold. A woman answers saying "Walmart security". My husband talks to her and she says the card is blocked?! And that he needs to send in proof of address and proof of ID. Umm, he JUST got the card at the address. They mailed it to,- our address!!! And why approve someone for a card then ask for proof of ID? Horrible customer service. I sent an email to The Ombudsman to file a complaint. They are likely located in the Philippines too. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

Walmart blocked my card. I tried to clarify with them that it's not fraud but was told that they will need to call me back first to confirm. I called them, but they said they will need to call me directly the next day. Wasted three days of going back and forth. Walmart needs to move their customer service department to another part of the world that can do a better job.
After using my Walmart credit card a few times, then it got stopped... I called them... They told me someone will call me the next day between 8 to 8. They called me but I was busy so I missed the call. I called back. Now they tell me that they will need to call me again to resolve but it will have to be tomorrow? They said I (customer) can't call them. Walmart staff need to call and make direct contact first!? Ridiculous rule. I will wait one more day tomorrow. If nothing is resolved I will cancel my Walmart credit card and complain to head office.
After having my card blocked 3x by Walmart's security algorithm the 4th time Walmart required me to send in the fax of my driver's licence. Ok, over the top I thought because I could answer all their questions, but later I found out they were going to wait 3-5 business days to re-enable my card! I didn't use my card in any way other than was spelled out in the user agreement. I had one late payment 9 years ago, that's it. My account is in good standing and nowhere near my credit limit. This is lousy customer service to an extreme. Avoid Walmart Mastercard like the plague!

Until recently if I purchased anything over $100 I had to enter pin. Now, Walmart has lifted that security measure and is refusing to reinstate it. I do not like this measure if I lose my credit card or gets stolen anyone can buy anything without the safety measure of pin#. I am done, will pay my monthly bill at the end of the month and destroy the card. I get third-world staff who do not listen and keep calling me madame instead of my name. The worst customer service ever. Do yourself a favour and do not apply with them! Not worth your time.
Had fraud on my card so, got a call about it and the guy asked me as well not normal questions. Some hours later we got a call from our bank and they needed our info because someone made a transfer. So, as well he needed our PIN # to fix the problem, after talking to him for a while he mentioned all this info that I gave this guy some hours before from Walmart MasterCard (the info we never used anywhere else)... The phone number was from New York so we knew it was not our bank. We called MasterCard and explained to them what had happened and we would like to close our account because we can’t trust them after this horrible experience... We tried 3 times and every single time they listen to our story and then put us on hold and after waiting for a long time it disconnected... Walmart MasterCard can’t be trusted!
