WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

by Sheila Ivanchuk on Aug 1, 2023
1 out of 5 stars

I am really upset as this CREDIT CARD is being managed by off-shore staff, which is not the problem. Their ability to facilitate FRAUDULANT charges is, however. I have called them three times regarding something that occurred with my card. As I did admit to "being suckered" by a SCAM, I wanted assistance to lodge an investigation. These CSR and Fraud department staff told me they would MAIL - yes I said MAIL a form for me to fill out. Three times they have said this and for 4 - WEEKS no form has arrived and there has been no follow-up with an email nor have they remedied the situation. Let me be clear, their Walmart Dollars mean ZERO, if their CSR and Fraud Department can't facilitate an investigation via email. DON'T WASTE OR TIME OR YOUR MONEY WITH THIS CARD. Get a BANK Card and you will have appropriate service in a timely manner. THE WORST SERVICE EVER.

Unbelievably horrendous support

by Vinayak on Sep 10, 2022

Beware. Don't get misled by the various paid (fake) reviews about the Walmart rewards card. Look at the actual customer reviews which will open your eyes. Except for the 'rewards' that you can use only at Walmart, this is a very bad card with horrible customer support. If you have any dispute then God saves you. First, call customer support. They say 'you have to wait until the merchant charges your card, right now it is pending merchant action'. But I realized this is a fraudulent merchant with a fake website, can't you stop them from charging my card? 'No, we can't do that'. Ok, so you call 'after' the card is charged. you get transferred to their 'security' team. they waste 15-20 minutes of your time and then say that 'this should be handled by our dispute team' and they transfer you there. The 'dispute' team wastes another 15 minutes of your time and then says 'oh this is a 'world' master card so we have to transfer you to another dispute team'... 15-20 more minutes then they say 'ok we can create the dispute but you have to call the 'actual' dispute team who work only Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm'. Really? 'and we cannot provide you the direct number of that team, you have to go through support'. Really? So the time of their teams is important but the customer's time is not? Does a customer have to waste hours just to file a dispute for a fraudulent transaction? And why should the customer be thrown around between their various departments? None of their customer support seems to be empowered to do 'anything' other than say the same standard statements again and again like a parrot. worst ever.

Fraud

by Lizzy on Sep 1, 2022

Money was withdrawn from my Mastercard over $3000 without my knowledge. Put in a dispute and it took over 1 year to solve it. While interest was accumulating. At last, they found out that I didn't use the money it was fraud they put back the exact amount that was withdrawn and charged me the interest for the fraud money I called customer service many times and they kept on tossing me around, at last, I got a supervisor who told me that I had to pay the interest because I was not doing a minimum payment for the fraud money. I asked him if was that my problem and said yes. And now my account was sent to a credit union they are calling every day my credit is bad due to the money I didn't use so please be careful with Walmart Mastercard. Not good! I need some help on how can fight this...

Security Department = Brain Dead

by Toledo on Aug 13, 2022

Went to Walmart and they convinced me to apply for the Walmart Mastercard. Gave the cashier my ID she punched it in and approved it right away. I called customer service a few days later and they verified my details and told me the card was already sent out. After 10 days no card. Called in today to check on the card. They tell me it was never sent out because of an address problem. They transfer me to the security department where "Penny" in the Philippines answers. He tells me the address is wrong. I give them the same address on my ID. They said my address is wrong and I said okay do you want me to send you my ID? The response from Penny "Sir I'm trying to do a check". He kept talking to me like I was a 5-year-old child. So this so-called "Penny" goes on and on, "sir I'm working". I asked what was wrong with the address. "Sir I'm working". He said I cannot tell you what's wrong even after confirming my details were correct. He then ends the call by telling me I have to go sir and I will call you back in one hour. As many have mentioned here the security department never calls back. Waited 3 hours and called back again. Same song and dance. Customer service tells me the card is approved and will be sent out. I told them I want to speak to the security department. They again confirmed to address the problem and I have to call you back today. No call. Completely brain dead. The cashier entered in all my details and they make it sound like I am a criminal. I wish the bank behind this Walmart Mastercard would ask me to call them. I would love to speak to these people.

Poor fraud protection, customer left to deal with fallout

by tamla on Jun 24, 2022

My Walmart Mastercard was compromised, and Walmart investigated and removed the purchase. They then recharged the amount to a cancelled card with no notification saying it was my purchase. I received a past-due bill three months later. I disputed this charge again, little did I know at the time that my personal information had been stolen. Due to their poor customer service, protection of my personal information and lack of due diligence investigating I was a victim of identity theft and fraud but left to deal with this alone, Walmart took no responsibility or offered assistance. Definitely do not get a credit card from them, totally incompetent.

After 8 months of review fake Edreams $1.6K changes close the claim

by Vladimir on May 30, 2022
1 out of 5 stars

Edreams is a fake ticketing agent. Walmart MasterCard reviewed documents for over 6 months with a clear fake message from the Edreams site "Refund in Progress" (still now). After 8 months MasterCard never call me back or communicate in any way. The chargeback department closed my claim because Edreams said they mailed tickets.
It is so convenient for fraud Edreams ticketing agent cooperate with Walmart MasterCard chargeback department because no-service for customers at Walmart MasterCard is the best protection for crooks from Edreams lure customers for years. The Internet is full of Edreams reviews and warnings that they are fraud, but Walmart MasterCard is on their side.

Disgusted

by SM on Apr 14, 2022

Applied for the WM MC was approved, card sent, activated it, went shopping, then they blocked my card "due to security verification and was told 5-7 business days before they could even unblock. Asked me to fax in documents, which I have done. First off, who uses faxes in today's world? 2nd, 5-7 days??? This sounds absurd for the length of time.
Was indicated someone had called in with my account# on which I have no idea who this person is (they gave a name and phone # they called in from) but am not buying this. Sounds like they made up a name to give me. I have only used the card 1 time online, 1 at a Walmart store and then at a grocery store.
Update, April 14th,
Duo bank responded to the review (this review) inviting me to call in. I did (call in).
I got the same lady, this is now 4 times reaching that EXACT same person, who by the way has no place on this planet answering phones or dealing with clients.
I asked her does anyone else works there? No response to that.
So the fax that was sent 3 days ago, was "just received today 3 days after" wow I guess Canada Post sent it to them after travelling around the world a few times. Now 3-4 days has passed and I am still being told 5-7 days.....No explanations, nothing.
Having dealt with several other credit cards and well over decades, this is the first time I have ever dealt with some of the DUMBEST people on this planet.
They do NOT take security seriously, they do NOT provide explanations properly, and they certainly do NOT respect their clients.

Customer Service that Assumes You are a Fool

by Paul Henderson on Mar 22, 2022
1 out of 5 stars

Where do I start... two fraudulent cash advances in a land far, far away that we have never been to with this card. Call Customer Service the same day we notice the fraudulent charges and after giving an abundance of information to the agent, she mentions that she will need to refer us to the fraud department. The fraud agent asks for pretty much all of the same information then says she will need to research it. Calls back and confirms the transactions are fraudulent. A few days later, the charge for the (fraudulent) cash advance appear on our statement... Yea I know, comical, farcical... Call back a couple of weeks later to ask why charges haven't been credited and after almost a carbon copy of the initial interaction with the first level of agent incompetence, she tells us the notes on the file indicate that the fraud agent couldn't get in touch with us! The customer service agent indicates she needs to transfer us to the fraud group again. We ask for a supervisor... on hold for a few minutes and then told that there is no supervisor available. She then says the charges will be taken off our account within 24 hours... more than 24 hours later still no resolution. Not sure when the circus will end but if you're thinking of applying for this card DON'T!

Walmart Mastercard is nothing but a rip-off... They have no security whats so ever... I live in Ontario, someone hacked my Walmart Mastercard in ALBERTA and ran up a bill of over $700.00. We phoned Walmart Mastercard but we might as well talk to the wall... I will NEVER EVER use a Walmart Mastercard again! Where is your security on your Credit Cards? MASTERCARD is getting a lot of bad reviews because WALMART is a scam! I wonder how many other customers are getting ripped off and screwed ??

My card is always compromised it seems like their security is not good even though I paid for that security every month.. and some of the customer services in the dispute department are rude and not helpful. Arrogant and hang up on me. And has zero idea why I was transferred to her. She didn't give me her name.
Not a good service and not happy with the Walmart Mastercard!!!!
