horrible experience with them

Insured by Monnex for 30 years until now. Successive buy outs leading to TD buy out has led to extortive premiums triple that of other Tier 1 competitors. For all those reading about premium pain, it's all true. Shop elsewhere. What was once an amazing compay Monnex is now long Dead, and you are only contributing to outrageous bank profits with this insurer. Leaving after 30 years, I do know.
1 - Increase home insurance rates by 70%; I never had a claim in 15 years I was insured with them. I gave them a boot.
2 - My wife called them to report an individual that was writing her vehicle information to avoid a scam. They recorded as an at fault incident - with no recourse. Waiting to give them a big boot .
3 - My car; I gave them a booth.
My recommendation to this company is to hire real professionals to manage risks and stop looking for stupid excuses to hike prices and blatantly disrespecting customers.

The company is a huge rip off. I had auto insurance with them on a student plan. Initially i paid the first and last month of the insurance. My car stopped working and I had to cancel my insurance after 8 months. I called and spoke to the customer service rep and he said that they will return my last month's payment but they will have to deduct a 18 dollar fee. I was waiting for my money to be deposited into my account but i received a letter stated I owe them $247 dollars. They were supposed to return my money instead they wanted to charge me some premium. When I called them they told me it was the cancellation fee for a year's contract. When I had called to sign up for the insurance I was not told of any cancellation fees or premiums. Their call centre is not informative for first time car buyers and I feel extremely cheated. Today I received a call from collections that they have forwarded this amount to them because I refused to pay it.
I am not going to let this matter go! I had an extremely disappointing experience and I would suggest ppl to stay away from TD insurance
RIP OFF!!!
