I've waited for over an hour and a half to reach a customer service representative and I'm still waiting. The waiting time is just unacceptable!
Purchased a new vehicle last week and traded in an older one, and simply needed o transfer auto insurance. I am on hold for over 3 hours and still no one answering. The office opened at 8:00 am, I called at 8:03. Also tried to make the change online 6 days ago, change still pending online and now I cannot get my new vehicle today as planned. Will cancel TD insurance and go with a broker. Time is more important to me than any cost savings. Management should be fired.

I called on Saturday...waited for 2 hours and 20 minutes. I had things to do, so I had to hang up. Currently, I have been on hold for over an hour. It is like they have one person working there. I have been advised that they are "ramping up" a new call center and hiring 200 people. I was told that over 2 months ago when I complained about their wait times. Thus far, zero improvement, and in fact, longer wait times. DO NOT USE THIS INSURER.
Normal to wait 1.5 hours for a representative. TD is also in breach of following their own complaint handling process. Awaiting TD Customer Care to respond back after THREE MONTHS of waiting. Attempted numerous calls/emails to no avail. TD Ombudsman will not participate in escalation until TD Customer Care responds, so therefore TD is able to BLOCK the complaint process. I am going to continue to fight this horrendous insurance provide. Also, the TD MyAdvantage application, which they will sell you on to provide an up to 25% discount on auto rates is non-functional. Good luck trying to get it to work for you. Take my word for it: AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Go with another provider, even if it means paying slightly more.
Had to phone in after having been locked up of my online account (why?). Waited forever to get answered by a first-line agent, transferred to a second-line agent, and waited forever again only to end up wasting another more than a half-hour and not even have my case resolved. And that was just to make simple changes to my policy. Imagine having that kind of service after an accident! Cancelled and went elsewhere (while I was waiting on the line with TD, lol). It's also useless to use the online portal; all my modifications were lost and I got locked out of my account. They probably wanted to have me call back and try to upsell me.
With TD 4 years now. Every time I try to call is agony. Fastest time yet to talk to someone was 45 minutes. Most times it takes 90 minutes. Today I was trying to call to remove a vehicle from my policy and replace it with another. I started calling at 11:54 am and finally got to talk to someone to make the change on my policy at 6:16 pm. Multiple times after waiting on hold for 45 - 60 minutes the hold music would stop and shortly after the call would disconnect. Once was an hour and 56 minutes when the call was cut. If you ever get to talk to someone they are very friendly and helpful but the wait time to speak with someone is ludicrous. I'll be going elsewhere when the policy is due for renewal.
I have tried contacting TD insurance several times and have waited for more than an hour each time. So I tried to sign up for online and got a message twice that it could not be done and to call an 1800 number and am back on hold forever. What gives this company? This is horrible customer service.
I have been a client for over 18 years and I can't believe I am waiting on the line for over 3.5 hours so far to reach customer service for my renewal policy. I even opted for them to call me back in priority sequence and when the automated attendant called back thinking they are available, the system would not recognize my selection to speak to an agent and called back 3 times not transferring me. This is so screwed up. I have all my insurance business with TD Meloche and with this experience, I am now looking for new providers. This is ridiculous.
I tried to call TD Meloche Monnex this week and each time the wait time was ridiculous. I am currently on hold with them now for almost 3 hours and still have not talked to anyone! This is so frustrating! If there was a 0 zero this would be more appropriate than a 1 star for customer service.
3 auto policies and 3 home policies. Tried to contact customer service for 3 days, no one answers the phone. I am now on hold for 4 hours...
