What is Employment Insurance (EI)?

Glossary - Letter - EEI (Employment Insurance) provides income to a person that has, through no fault of their own, lost their job. If you are fired or quit, you do not qualify for EI. EI-sickness is a benefit paid to those that have lost their job due to a serious illness, injury, or quarantine. EI-sickness is limited to a total of 15 weeks.
