From the very start, there was controversy. The broker said one thing then Intact bills said another. When I realize that things weren’t going to be as said which I had expected to work in my favor I was already trapped. I was quoted almost $440 per month for “new drivers” insurance by brokers but was billed almost five hundred by Intact which attracted overdraft fees, so when I reached out about it, I weren’t satisfied with their explanation so I wanted out but I was told that I would have to pay almost $2000 to get out of the car insurance policy. I was furious! This was way too much for me to pay so I was stuck! There was a time when I paid early only to be penalized for it! According to them, that’s not allowed, the policy can only be paid on the due date, and boy everything got chaotic for me ever since! It’s now eight months into this and so I tried recently again to come out of the contract only to be told that I would still have to pay $2000 to get out of the policy. During the coronavirus crisis whenever I asked to have the payment due dates pushed back, the policy went up by a whopping $600-800 dollars. I would never recommend this car insurance company to anyone the financial pressure you’re placed under is unbearable especially if you are not well off financially!
