No answer an no call back

I am not exaggerating here. The WORST customer service experience I have ever had and it's not close. I have spent 7 plus hours on hold with TD over the last 2 business days. Even tried the online message app. I was on hold Monday for 4 plus hours and at 5 pm mountain they hung up on me. I was picked up once and then was shoved back in the queue. I was online 4 pm today the online chat shut down. I have 2 vehicles on my act. If I didn't I would have stopped payment and never looked back. Absolutely disgusting.
I have been trying for months to get in touch with someone, they never pick up the phone. My insurance webpage is also another failure. There is not a simple way to communicate with them. One of my insurance will expire next week and I haven’t received my renewal package yet. My home insurance and other car insurance got a premium increase - no claims done what so ever!
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
Every time I called their customer service line I had to wait over two hours and twice in the middle of speaking with an agent I got disconnected. They have a very poor customer service and to top it off they are much more expensive than competitors. I was their customer for over 20 years and every year I noticed they increased my premiums without any accident claims. Once I called to add a new casual second driver (my daughter) to under my insurance they said my insurance would go up by $1400. That’s when I decided to shop around. I’m glad that I did cause my insurance actually went down with the competitors. Don’t waste your time or money with them.
The wost customer experience in trying to connect in the industry. Also, often the "clerk" who answers may not be correct at all in their responses and frequently needs to ask a supervisor for advice.
I have been trying to cancel an insurance policy with them for over a year. Yes, that’s right. A whole year just to try to cancel a policy (and it’s still active at the time of writing this review). I have called countless times, waited on the line for many hours and sent every piece of support that they had asked for. Yes, I’m still waiting to get confirmation of the cancellation or a whiff of my money back. The best part about this is that they are well aware (and have all of the supporting information) proving that my home and auto officially have 2 different insurers because of how difficult it has been to cancel my TD one. I am not entirely sure what their agents do but I have a strong suspicion that they do not take notes during calls and actively delete emails that they receive. I have had to repeat myself a million times and had to resend documents multiple times. I’m really glad I didn’t have to file a claim with them because Lord knows I would’ve had a better chance of winning the lottery, getting struck by lightning 3 separate times and winning a Noble prize than getting anything from them.
Waited over 6 hours total over 4 days with no human contact whatsoever. Not sure how that's even possible.
They took twice a month my money and I am calling for the second week every day and no one answered. Avoid them
I never had to deal with more frustrating unprofessional and underfunded customer service ever. Government agencies have a better response time that TD Meloche Monnex phone line, I don't what they do with their money but investing in better customer service is not. Horrible service, if you are lucky to get any. If you are a potential new customer of any TD product, just take your business elsewhere, TD will cost you your time, money and sanity.
If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.
Terrible customer service. I called because I wanted to add a second driver to my plan, waited on hold for 4 hours, listening to very annoying music, until they eventually hung up on me, when their office closed for the day. Never actually spoke to anyone... Seriously regretting changing providers, despite the significantly better price they offered compared to their competitors...

I have been trying to contact a customer service representative since August! I was once on hold for 4 HOURS with no answer on August 23rd. I was calling because they did not send me my renewal papers and my policy expired on August 13th. When I logged in online they only had me listed as having renters insurance, but no active auto policy. I was leaving for a weekend trip with my two small kids and was forced to take out an additional policy with another company because I had no way to verify whether I still had a policy with TD. Since then I have called, I have emailed. I have sent a message from my online profile and nothing! I did see that they took back payments out of the bank account and a week ago I got my renewal papers. I cannot believe this I want to cancel my policy now (which apparently I still, but have no way of doing so because TD will not respond to any of my attempts to contact them. DO NOT take out a policy with them because if you run into any trouble they will leave you high and dry and will not acknowledge you exist.)
