RBC Insurance is a disappointment. I bought insurance with them and was not given a broker. This is what causes you to wait hours on phone trying to get them to solve your problem. Even if you cancel with them, they tried to frustrate you by having stuff on your policy to stop others from insuring you.
Dealing with an urgent matter and there is no way to contact RBC insurance. Absolutely dreadful. Have been waiting on the phone for over 2 hours and still no answer.
What am I supposed to do? Insurance was supposed to transfer to the new car today but the dealership did not have the new car ready. I am picking the car up tomorrow first thing, but the old car will not have insurance first thing tomorrow morning. Ahhhhhh! Why can’t you answer the phone? No more COVID excuses. Hire people back to be able to provide a decent service. BEYOND AWFUL
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
Customer Service is horrific!!! Unacceptable wait times. You make enough profit, and hire more agents to deal with your call volume.
I have been with RBC for over 30 years and using their home and auto insurance for 15 plus years.
Obviously, time to change.
Ridiculous waiting two-plus hours on hold and then two-plus hours only to have to call back the next day and now have been waiting for two-plus hours on hold again and still have not spoken to a human.
All of this wasted time to add a new vehicle to my policy. I am paying you for the pleasure to waste my day! Time to use my feet and walk away!
Terrible call service! I've been on hold for the past 4 hours and still, no one is available to assist me. Definitely thinking of taking my business elsewhere.
Terrible phone system. Pressing the buttons doesn't work consistently. I'm currently on hold for almost 3 hours to speak with an agent.
Have been trying to get service for about 9 hours now. This morning, I first called and was sent to a travel insurance assistant, who of course couldn't help me with my car insurance. He transferred me to a car insurance assistant who was not qualified to deal with policies in my province. She transferred me again and I waited another two hours (a total of approximately three at this point). My phone hit low battery mode and hung up on me. Called again and was offered a call-back option. Agreed and they called back another two hours later. Was put on wait mode again, and had to hang up after another half hour of waiting because I had an appointment to attend (totalling 5.5 hours now). Called back a third time after my appointment and have been waiting for another three hours without any response. Spend most of my day getting quotes from other companies, and cannot wait to switch!
Just to save 10-20$ I would not recommend RBC insurance. Worst experience ever. Trying to reach them since yesterday to get a quote to add a driver and now thinking it is better to switch with another insurer and totally cancel this policy. These guys do not have employees or I don’t get it.
I called as I needed to add a vehicle. And I noticed they needed to make a correction to another change I asked for 2 months ago. I had to wait 2.5 hours to add the vehicle and have them make the correction. These were both done wrong and I had to call again now and have been waiting 3 hours. Still waiting for a person...
Took 2 hours on hold in the RBC Auto insurance queue today. The person I ended up speaking with was very good. RBC should provide a call-back type service for situations where their support lines are overloaded.
I have made 3 attempts to speak to someone about removing a car from my policy. No surprise they don't offer this as a self-serve feature. Waited upwards of 1.5 hours and the last time I waited for 2 hours and was promptly cut off by an automated voice message. Shopping for a new insurance provider
