Horror show - Unbelievably slow service and very high rates

I have been trying to reach RBC insurance for a simple policy change for an ENTIRE week. Been on hold for HOURS every day. Sometimes their automated system would say that the wait is close to 6 HOURS! That is beyond my imagination. I am not going to make the change anymore. I AM CALLING TO CANCEL! IF I can even get to speak to someone!
Also, at renewal, they increased my premium for no reason. The phone agents are mostly Indians who have no clue what they're doing and it's hard to understand what they're saying.
I've been hung up on 4 times out of 5 times I've contacted this horrible company. Not hung up because of me... I never even got to speak to an agent. Just waited on hold or waited for a callback and when it rang to an agent, I was hung up on. So that wasn't the beginning of my HORRIBLE experience. At first, they upped my truck insurance $30/month. I called a bunch of times with the hang-ups, fuming mad, finally got them to reduce my rate as I was working from home. Set up an online account so I didn't have to deal with them... NOPE....they put my spouse's car under my account and today I tried to contact them back to fix it.....same hang-up issue. Waiting for the second callback... Will see if that one works. But now I'm done so I'm going to research other companies.
We have both auto and home insurance with RBC. Every year the principal payments go up without any reasons for that. We didn't have any claims, the same car, the same house. After almost 2 hours on the phone with a representative, they didn't give me any option to put payments down or to explain why I should pay more. In addition to that, they told me that because of the mistake they did in our application the price will go up again next year. That's unbelievable. I will definitely go to another instance company.

I have been a home/car/life insurance client with RBC for decades. Now it is impossible to get hold of them, and their auto rates have more than doubled over the last year.
Yesterday I waited 3 hours to talk to an agent, and then spent another 1.5 hours talking to her (not her fault the rates are sky high), and a full 24 hours later, I still haven't an email confirming the new policy details. Spent another two-30 mt long attempts to contact them today with no availability.
They give you a better (marginally albeit) rate if you are a new customer. I can't wait to find a new insurer - as soon as I do, I am dropping them.
