After years of insurance and no claims, they wanted me to fill out a very detailed application form for my renewal. They also wanted full payment for the year as they changed their policy. Add this to the 1.5 hours on the phone to talk to someone and I am switching providers!!
I have been with this insurance company for almost 4 yrs. This company really don't care if you are an avid customer with this company. When I trade in my car they reduce my insurance from 250 to 174 plus the Home insurance they offer me...Wow I say, it's good. The reason why they reduce my car insurance is that I have a good car with lots of security features. I almost love this company because from 250 goes down to 174 (with Home insurance). But now 2019, when they send me the renewal it goes to 275 for car insurance and 41 for Home Insurance...I say WHAT? Terrible experience and customer service are not good. They said that my MAZDA C-9 (Signature Model, which has almost all security features) is high risk. WHAT? And they're saying again that because parts are electronics they say it's expensive to repair. My goodness... RBC Insurance you are horrible and the worst Car Insurance I have ever had. You don't really care about all your previous customer. THE WORST CAR INSURANCE IN ONTARIO...RBC.
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
So after using RBC Aviva for 7 years, they asked me to fill out a new application. They cancelled my insurance without any cause in order to force me to reapply and jack up the already high rates I give them an absolute 0 for customer service. They treat their clients like dirt and don't care if you cancel. Not recommended at all, save yourself the hassle and expense
One of the worst companies to deal with. God knows from where they recruit their "so-called" professional Insurance staff. To have a renewal cancelled you first have to wait for 50 MINUTES to get an advisor. Then the advisor talks to you like he OWNS you. This time people need to have a place where to go to lodge complains about these ruthless, adamant and provocative call centre associates. Wonder if the CEO or his subordinates ever read these reviews put on here.
I can't express how disgusted I am with the service. My premium has gone up multiple times even though I have never been in an accident or got tickets. Now they have canceled my policy because I didn't update my information which never changed. I am now trying to get my policy back and the guy is arguing with me telling that I use the vehicle for business when I have told him - it is a personal vehicle. Such a joke I will never recommend this company.
If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.
Said goodbye to my RBC home insurance yesterday after they made me jump through hoops to maintain my existing auto policy. I had paperwork into them before their deadline. I called to make sure everything was alright the next day. Two phone calls (mainly on hold) for 43 minutes and 55 minutes. The employee said I could reapply and they would see if I could get car insurance in a week. I asked for customer service and was told, they could start a form and someone would get back to me in a week or so. One week! Good luck! RBC getting new customers if this is how you treat your existing ones...to top it off they are returning 4$ of my 94$ monthly payment for insuring my home for one day! Stay away from these people if you ever think you should need to make a home or auto claim.
RBC insurance is the worst insurance ever! In two years, they changed my monthly payments three times!!! Without telling me or sending me a letter! In two years I hadn’t even received a ticket or gotten into an accident yet they increased my payments by first 30 dollars than almost 50 dollars!!! I went to complain and they said that if I’m not happy I can go to another company! Yes, I will! Worst company in history. Disgusting thieves. I’m thinking of changing my bank too just to never be affiliated with RBC.
Had a total loss accident, not my fault. They paid me reasonably but took a lot of effort to get the money and they took the rental car back the day they cut the cheque, I had no money to get new wheels. Replacing my 2015 car with a 2018 my insurance doubled, they gave no reason why, just said it's more expensive, well duh. I ended up going with a 2-door from a 4-door, well whoa Nelly the insurance went up like crazy now from $750 for the 2015 to $2400 for a 2018 2-door model. Customer service is horrible, called in 5 times to 'prove' to them I have forward emergency braking on my car for a 10 percent reduction. Just spent the last 2.5 hours talking and on hold. When I sent them proof from the dealer, they still couldn't figure it out. Finally, she said my premium would go down less than 10 dollars a month for this??? I've completely had it with them now and in 1.5 months, when my term is finished, we will be moving to another company, just out of sheer frustration, oh and every other company is from $300 to 600+ cheaper a year. I'm a 47-year-old male with 30+ yrs licensed and insured with one accident under $2k which was at fault over 25 years ago, no speeding tickets in the last 12 years (one I got was bogus). Wife insured 25 yrs and no accidents at fault and this is the treatment they give us.
I have been with RBC insurance for three years. They increase my monthly payment from 278$ to 398$, but I have no claim, no ticket, no changes on any information. They gave an answer that because they just simply increase the rate this year. Furthermore, it always will take them 1hour+ to answer the phone.
Anytime I call it says you'll wait about 5 - 7 minutes to talk to an advisor, more like 60-80 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous!
