I've moved and need to change my insurance policy. Called and was told the wait time would be under an hour. Have now been on hold for 1.5 hours. Previously I have called and been offered the option to get a callback. But was not given that option this time. So inconsistent and frustrating!
I can't describe how mad I am, on hold for 3 hours and no answer yet.
The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Time to move on, can't deal with an unprofessional bunch...
Anyone looking for insurance, please don't waste time here.
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
I've been on hold for more than 4 hours, the call randomly disconnects and now I'm on hold for god knows how long before I probably get disconnected again. I need to change a simple thing with my policy which would take less than 5 minutes and I cannot get a hold of absolutely anyone. What a waste of my time. They need to hire more agents ASAP or I will be switching to another insurance company. I don't care if the price is worse.
Have been on a call to update my policy for the past 4 HOURS, and still no assistance... They have us handcuffed with this terrible insurance provider that is RBC. If given the freedom, I would have changed Insurance providers a long time ago!
What the hell! I know it is limited customer service during the holidays but this is seriously feeding up. I was on hold for 3 and 1/2 hours and you hung up on me. I still need to make changes and now it won't even give the option for you to call back. You can't do anything online! You have no chat that is a help! You are so antiquated with your technology, at least have more service people working! I will be changing as soon as my policy is up for renewal.
My car was hit by another car and I submitted a claim. Nobody contacted me for 2 weeks and after that, they just told me to pay upfront at body shop and they will reimburse me the money and now it's been one month nobody sends me my money back or contacted me. Very bad service. I am changing my insurance company after my contract will finish with them.
I cracked my windshield on my car.... happens to people all the time. They must have transferred me to 6 different people, being on hold for a total of 2 hours. Finally, when I spoke to someone, they told me they would handle it, I sent photos of the crack, quote I received etc. He said it would be done by Friday when my windshield replacement appointment was. Tried to reach him all week no response. Had to speak to someone else, and they told me my claim wasn't even open. He hadn't even started!!!! They told me to cancel my windshield replacement until they were done...I said no. It is dangerous and I need it replaced immediately. They never helped me out, wasted my time, and in the end, SPEEDY GLASS billed them and had it figured out in maybe 10 minutes. Not to mention, RBC told me I had a 300$ deductible but speedy glass found out i have a 0$ deductible. I ended up not having to pay a thing. Unbelievable. Will definitely be switching providers, horrible service and incompetent staff.
Please just don't DO NOT choose RBC insurance for your car! They're just keep telling me your application is under review and we will call you back! And it's been one month that I've been waiting and nobody called me! The dealership just cancelled the contract because I couldn't pick p the car after one month! And I lost the great deal that I had on that car! Only because of this damn, useless Insurance company.
If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.
Complete joke of an experience trying to get auto coverage!
Already had tenants insurance with RBC, put all info in online, called and made to give all information a second time, then emailed a non-fillable form (fillable version available from a government site, but they did not mention this) to put all information in again, and told that it would take 20 days. Pathetic, switching insurance providers tomorrow.
Over the last three years, they worked hard to get rid of me as a customer. The form to fill out when Aviva become the underwritten was a horrible experience. I had to go into a branch for help because the people on the phone have conflicting answers. Then on renewal time, I had to provide every person who lived in the household who could drive. I thought doing once on that form was bad enough but they could not find it following years and I would have to track it down again. They made me feel like a criminal and it was my fault it was not there and if I did not provide it I would not be covered. You are on the phone waiting for two hours to get someone to speak to if you are lucky. When I went to cancel I was asked why and I basically stated the above and said thank you and that is it.
