Useless company

I think Manulife regrets doing this program because they've been slowly hollowing it out bit by bit every year. The rewards get worse, and this year my status went up, and I didn't even get a discount. I called them and gave up after being on hold for over 30m.
They're a pretty mediocre company at the best of times, and this product is sub-par.
I have health coverage through my employer with Manulife. I recently purchased CPAP mask for my CPAP machine. I have been using CPAP for more than 10 years. CPAP is not listed in covered items on the mobile app however Manulife agent advised me it is covered on the phone. I applied for reimbursement, however It was not paid after 20 days. I followed up several times, and they asked me Doctor's prescription and diagnosis report. So I found the old diagnosis report and Doctor's prescription. Then submitted the documents. It is about one month that I am following reimbursement and each time the agent says within 24–48 hours it will be paid but nothing happens. They lie all the time. They didn't tell me why it was rejected at first place and now 10 days after submitting documents still I am waiting. This is the worst health insurance company I have experience with.....terrible…
I am enrolled with our company health group plan. But this is the worst insurance I've ever dealt with. There's no service at all. For claims, you get denied multiple times if manually submitting even if it's clearly covered. You have to call just to have it get through. No flexibility or care at all with the customer. Even the clinics I go to says the same thing - difficult. I was also previously enrolled with our company group retirement plan. Same thing. The people you talk to are just robotic and no sincere care to help customers get the best value from the benefits they are foremost entitled to.
I have sent a dozen emails to Manulife regarding a case# as well as phone calls back and forth and not one person can get me an answer as to why it’s saying I chose no health or dental coverage. They have not answered a single one of my emails and every time I call customer service they tell me to wait 2-3 days for the email and then that email never comes... The worst customer service experience of my life!
The plans are sort of run of the mill compared to other companies.
My biggest beef is the absolute lack of customer service.
You can tell they're going out of their way to make connecting with an agent as inconvenient as possible, and when their online self serves options continuously change and get more complicated to navigate or even log in this becomes increasingly infuriating.
I realize if everyone used their health benefits to the full extent, the companies would be out of business but this is unacceptable.
Trying to get a claim through and have submitted numerous tickets to which they reply that I need to speak to an agent. I have tried over a dozen times to reach an agent and after going through the tree and being on hold for about 15 mins, the line cuts out. Still no response from online submissions. Brutal!
Manulife doesn't even deserve one star. The worst customer service. I have to call and email multiple times just to get an answer to a simple question.

Spent 3 hours today either on hold, being transferred, or calling back after getting disconnected from poor quality phone lines. Just wanted to make a credit card number change to a drug plan. Nobody in this phone center has any idea what’s going on. They just transfer calls or hang up. Pathetic.
Last year, put in a claim for ambulance service in Ontario. Someone thought it must be Jamaica and since I don’t have travel insurance outside Canada, it was denied. It took 6 months of constant work to get results.
How does this company still exist? If you are offered ANYTHING from Manulife, run, fast.
