Ridiculous hold times

Terrible customer service. I called because I wanted to add a second driver to my plan, waited on hold for 4 hours, listening to very annoying music, until they eventually hung up on me, when their office closed for the day. Never actually spoke to anyone... Seriously regretting changing providers, despite the significantly better price they offered compared to their competitors...

Bad customer service

No accident, no claim for over a decade, just a simple call to update address they raised premium by 30%. Multiple calls to talk to a supervisor but no success, false promises of supervisor calling back in 2 days but they won't call you. In the process of moving to another Insurer. I was advised by our lawyer before not to insure with them as their services are not good now I experience it.

Unreasonable wait times

Like others, I am fed up with long hold times trying to get in touch with TD Insurance. Recently, I needed to change coverage on my car. I called 4 days in a row and gave up after an hour on hold each time. Service was okay when I finally got through but I can't waste 4 hours every time I need to make a change to my insurance. Today my daughter tried to contact TD to get insurance. She was disconnected after two hours on line. We are now contacting other companies.

It's getting ridiculous

I don't understand what happened to Meloche Monnex. I used to love, love them, they used to be easy to deal with. However, that is not the case anymore. Over this past week every single day, I've phoned and have been on hold for 4 hours at a time. This is unreasonable. Once I get through, the person on the line asks a few questions, and then eventually says "our system is down we can't do this or that, check back tomorrow". I just wanted to add another vehicle to my existing insurance policy. I don't understand why that's next to impossible. Also, their waiting music is extremely annoying. Please change the music. Also please hire more workers, it's apparent that they have hardly anyone to handle issues. Also, please hire tech support to deal with the constant system outages. It's getting ridiculous. I used to really vouch for Monnex, but I cannot.

Called 5 times, gave up

Absolutely atrocious customer service. A simple operation as changing address should be easy.

Unfortunately, I called 5 times, waiting 30+ minutes in queue each time and not getting my problem resolved. The first 2, their computer systems were down and the agent could not help me.

I tried again a week later. I reach an agent. He gets my name and policy numbers, takes my new address, puts me on hold. I get disconnected. I call back (30 min) and I get the SAME GUY. I say "I think we got disconnected" and he says "oh yeah" and then I have IMMEDIATELY disconnected again. I call a third time (30 min), get the SAME GUY A THIRD TIME, and as soon as he hears my voice I'm disconnected. He never calls or emails back.

So I send an online request explaining the situation and asking to cancel. Usually, when you do this, someone calls you to try to keep your business. But no, they don't even care that you want out; at least they cancelled my policy on the first attempt. Stay away.

TD ripping off Albertans

I've been on hold for 3 hours 44 mins.
Coming up at 19:00 Eastern time on a Weekday.
Just want to make a change to my coverage.
Looks like it's been like this for a year or more, (I see by Googling around.)
I am so totally cancelling my coverage and going with another insurer. Good-bye Meloche Monnex.

Wait times are ridiculous

Requested an amendment to my auto insurance policy via the website 3 weeks ago. They said they would confirm within 2 business days, still haven't heard anything. I've now spent over 10 hours on hold with them this week, still haven't been able to reach anyone. No option for a callback, no indication as to how long the wait might be. I will definitely not be renewing my policies (home and auto) with them again.

My auto insurance experience

I recently moved to my new place and I updated my address and had my last name changed. I had to wait yesterday for almost 3 hours before someone can finally help me. I also changed the km as I am now working from home and I would not use my car for long drives anymore too! They gave me an additional $150 increase in my car insurance policy. THE WORST! I was expecting they would lower my car insurance so of course, I had to go look for someone else who can give me affordable car insurance! It really doesn't make sense.

On Hold for Hours, No Response

I have been trying for days...on hold for a few hours each day just to try to insure an additional vehicle that I just purchased. We have multiple vehicles insured with them currently... but I think that if I am unable to get a hold of them soon, I am going to switch everything over to someone else as this is absolutely Ridiculous...no one has the time for this.

Extremely long wait times

This is unbelievable. I have wasted almost 5 hours waiting to reach someone from customer service to modify my policy which unfortunately cannot be changed online if I want the changes to be effective immediately.

If TD Insurance is unable to offer reasonable waiting times on their phone lines, then they should create a website that can serve its customers better.

Looking to switch to a different insurance company. This is just too frustrating.
