The absolute worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. I filed a claim in April 2021 for a total loss. They offered a fraction of the car value and getting a hold of the adjuster was a nightmare. They asked for additional information and I had to send the requested information multiple times. I would never deal with this insurance ever again.
My wait time to renew my car insurance now stands at 1 hour 42 minutes and counting. Please don't tell me that wait times are longer than normal because my experience is every big company I call has long wait times but this is not normal.
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
The claim process is super slow. Follow-up does not exist. There was uncertainty and contradicting information among staff. They changed the decision back and forth multiple times. The amount of time spending on administration for a small claim is stunning. I am not an at-fault driver with this kind of service. Greatly disappointed!
During our pandemic I was hospitalized with Covid. While in there I had missed two payments so now they have canceled my insurance. Even after I explained I was hospitalized they still cancelled my insurance unless if I come up with the full amount. I have been with this company for about 20 years and I never had a problem with making payments. And then Covid-19 hits. I have never been refused insurance nor have I ever had my insurance cancelled.
I have been using TD for about 15 years and after an accident, they are not covering my physio after 6 months.
I cancelled my vehicle insurance with them. They couldn't find any record of me calling and the vehicle ended up being cancelled due to non-payment - AFTER I called to cancel the product. I contacted them with the issue, PAID the non-payment (they told me it would be reimbursed to me when they found the missing entry in my profile) I'm still waiting for the call from TD Insurance (after 6 weeks)! I called asked for a Manager and she told me there was nothing they could do.
Incompetent.
After the easy decision to leave TD Insurance, the first quote I received for auto and household was roughly HALF of what I was paying with TD Insurance - I NEVER had an accident or a household claim after 15+ years of being with them. (15 years of terrible service and overpaying)
Do yourself a favour and look somewhere else for your Insurance.
I used them for two years and in the third year I couldn't pay the annual fee at once, I paid $1000 Canadian dollars, but they still went ahead and cancelled my insurance and state that I paid late, and they will refund my money back. But up until this date, they have not refunded me. I tried calling the customer representative always says that they are working on it this August will make it two years. I am just curious if anyone has the same experience please advise.
Never any agents available to speak. I’ve been told multiple times they’d look into clear glitches in the app (I emailed them multiple screenshots to illustrate the glitches). No reply, no follow-up, and when I called to follow up, both times was told they had no record of this issue or any investigation into it.
If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.
I have been with them since 2000. No tickets no in-fault claims. My insurance went up 40-50%. Now they started instalment charges of 1.3% for car & 3% for house.
I called for changing policy from an existing car to a new car. Waited for 15 minutes to have someone on the phone. I was on the phone on Friday afternoon for more than 2 hours(2:14:14). The agent had no clue of what was she doing, changed my premium $ 3 times & each time came up with a higher amount & said she made a mistake. I tried to stay calm. Finally, I said do you know what are you doing? At this point, she said, " I will get a manager for you.".
I am looking for another insurance company.
No issues here. I called, got through immediately and was able to set up my policies in 1 call. Price was competitive. If anything comes up I'll edit this post but so far it seems like a good company. Customer service was great.
