No customer service

I've tried calling to add a new vehicle and update existing vehicle insurance for the last 3 business days. I stayed on the line up to 2 hours with no reply. Today, I've been waiting for 3 hours and no response yet. My previous experiences with TD insurance were stellar so I wonder what happened. I will have to insure elsewhere if this isn't resolved soon. I've spoken to a competitor and got a quote while waiting on the phone with TD. (From an online TD quote, I also requested to be called, but I haven't been called back either.)

Is anyone there?

Called a few times to put coverage on my car that was in storage. No pick up! Wait times 90 minutes - gave up! Called again - 1 hour 45 minutes - nothing... Is anyone there??? Please tell us so we don't waste our time. I can't drive my car!

As I write this I’ve been on hold for 68 minutes.
No excuse for this. People are not driving or buying cars.
Did they lay off people? Disgusting.

Online quote can be misleading

The online quote may not be trusted because of a 'glitch' in the system. The quote may be generated assuming a customer qualifies for a multi-line discount even when it doesn't apply to her. 45 days guaranteed of the quote means nothing. So you may be in for a surprise when you are ready to purchase a policy, finding that the price is much higher than what was originally quoted. In my case, the call center agent could not explain the reason for the price discrepancy. When I asked to speak with her supervisor, she said matter of factly that she could not transfer my call. If you find yourself in the same situation, do not sign a contract out of time pressure or frustration. Shop around. There is a way to file a complaint and escalate the issue.

So Frustrating

Like others, I have been on hold with TDMM for well over an hour listening to the same three-second loop of music. Their customer service in that department is lacking. Recently though, I have gotten to speak to someone with much shorter wait times. Currently dealing with an adjuster for a not-at-fault claim. She will not return my calls or respond to my emails (three voicemails and three emails requesting a call over the course of this claim, zero responses). Then, she had the audacity to send me an email with a form letter component saying they strive for "legendary customer service" and to let them know if I have any questions. I have questions, she just won't answer them.

They Don't Answer the Phone

You can't get through to them to ask them any questions.

They leave you hanging and you can't get through to ask questions.

Good value for the money, but totally NOT accessible; especially when you need them.

They really need to fix their "Call Centre" CRM program!

That's their biggest downfall.

Please institute a Call Back system like Bell. Waited over an hour and finally gave up in frustration listening to that short loop of ‘music’.

Very poor response time

The last few times I called it took forever on hold before I got through. Today I was on hold for over 3 hours and gave up - did not get through. I also tried to sign up online in case I could make a change there - even a delay with online account activation. I have been a client for over 25 years, insure my house and currently 5 vehicles. They used to have great customer service and I had some loyalty, but now you would think they don't want to keep customers. If I find a better price I will seriously consider leaving.

On average it takes 2 hours in order to talk to their Customer Service and so many mistakes on my bill. Unbelievable
