Aviva terminated my insurance giving me three-day notice... Really? With the reason that doesn't have grounds. Their customer service horrible, agents rude. Stay away!!!
Been with this company for over 5 years, clean driving record with no prior claims. Recently I was involved in a terrible accident that not only left me in severe pysical pain but also mental pain. According to witness (since i remember nothing) I was not at fault because the truck driver cut into my lane. I have been trying to reached claims ever since as I am in extreme agony but still nothing. I have left countless messages yet no results or even call back. I have been driving for 15 years & never had I miss work or been in such situation so I have no clue what steps need to be done. I am trying to be patient but my patience is running out. I have decided to used my own money for my therapy sessions, which includes mental & physical. What are my next steps? I am not asking for much but this insurance company seems to have no interest in my well being or getting anything settled. By the way my car was a total write off and still no settlement had been agreed.
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
I just wanted to change something on my policy. Have been waiting over 45 minutes to talk to someone. Hello, anybody there?
After waiting for about 1h50m to speak to customer service , I found out that my insurance went up for no apparent reason !!!!
No claims for over 20 years and a clean record ....
Can someone explain why, cause hell I don't know ....
Well the increase wasn't much but still, it should be going down not up...
Well time to start looking elsewhere for my insurance needs
I was involved in an accident. Aviva refuses to put a claim through on my car. They claim I didn't have insurable interest in my vehicle :s ?? My car was written off and scrapped. I have over 100 pictures of the vehicle before and after the accident. They claim since "there is no vehicle to inspect, there is no claim". I asked "What do you do in a theft situation when there is no vehicle to inspect?" They claim it's a different scenario. I said "regardless there is still no vehicle to access the value" They still say it's different. I will not renew my car and motorcycle policy with them. The customer service is horrible. My car was only worth a few thousand dollars. They are willing to lose a customer over a few thousand dollar pay out. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND AVIVA TO ANYONE. See ya never Aviva!
No matter when I call wait time 45 min to 60 min Plus INSANE
I called to add a second car on my insurance policy wait 60 min
Calling BACK as I still have not received email copy of insurance and on hold 25 min so far. This is not acceptable. I have called first thing, middle of the day and later in day same thing. No way its that busy. Need more staff to answer the phone !!!!!!!!
Had a claim where the other driver crossed into my lane. Had dash cam footage; still had to take the day off work to go to court. Flash forward 7 months. I'm trying to cancel my policy. Their policy is they can only have transactions by phone. I've been on hold for over 3 hours in total. Worst customer service experience of my life.
Had an accident July 4th which was not my fault - another driver was charged with careless. So much for Aviva's new car guarantee... Beware, folks, that's lies! 7 weeks later still waiting for a car... My model is no longer available, and they are wanting to replace it with a lower model from another manufacturer... They have a fleet management service source out potential dealers interested in the sale ... Twice now called by Avivia to say have a car for me to look at ... then a few minutes later they call back ... sorry no car there? Now that they cannot easily find a replacement through their fleet management service, and re trying to brush me off with a payment, well below what it will cost me to replace the car? How shady ... and so sad, since they have held my home and auto policy now for 23+ years. Guess they sleep well though ... as they are part of RBC, their staff and management are well salaried and oh the bonuses - too bad the bonuses are on the backs on loyal dumb clients such as myself who loose out in the end. So past time to shop for a new carrier!
After calling aviva's customer service line today I'm sad to say the experience was terrible. My father is a senior and was spoken to rudely and made to feel like he couldn't get the help he needed. Nadir, the receptionist who took the call belittled him and basically told him she couldn't help him instead of directing him to the proper places to change his address and gain house insurance for his new home. I then spoke to her and she was just as rude to me. I'll be making sure my parents change their insurer as soon as possible.
I have been fortunate that I never needed to claim with them. But reaching anyone takes forever. It took me THREE days to get a hold of someone in customer service. I was on hold for one hour one day, another hour another day and then finally decided to call them the second that they opened and finally got someone in about ten minutes. And since they close at 500 on the dot and no weekend hours, it makes it difficult for those of us who work hard for a living to deal with this during business hours. How about putting some people on a late shift, early shift, put more people on the phone? How about putting your customers' interests a bit more in the forefront? In fairness, the girl who answered the phone was polite and answered all my questions. I did not give her grief because, in the end, the unacceptable state of operations is not her fault. Several years ago, I had lost my job and my wife was battling cancer and for the first time in 34 years of driving and insurance, I had my insurance payment bounce. Yes, it was my fault. And I begged them for help. Begged them. And they screwed me over big time. I had no choice but to pay the increased premium as they were almost treating me like a new policy, and it would have been no better to move elsewhere and I did not have the time to spend on it. Well, that blemish has disappeared off of my insurance history and I am moving on to much much better and saving about $2,500 between my house, my car and my wife's car while maintaining almost the exact same coverage. I am taking away from them a pretty good pair of safe drivers who have not had a claim for either of them in more than ten years. I don't have anything good to say about them at all.
