Had a positive experience calling Aviva after my car was declared a write-off. Staff did a great job replying to emails and keeping me updated. It did take a bit longer than expected, but I was provided a rental until the case was settled, with good rates. Overall, was very satisfied with their help and knowledge.
I have been disgusted by Aviva, there staff are ignorant and abusive and the simply fail to respond to claims in a reasonable time frame.
I had a vehcile accident on the 6th of October 2023, I filed a claim on the 20th of October 2023... it is now almost 6 months later on the 28th of March 2024 and the ignorant and incompentant staff will simple not respond to a request for an update.
I have send over 20 emails on an almost weekly basis and every single email is ignored.
These people are horrible, ignorant, rude and simply people who go about their lives punishing others and blaming others for their own unhappiness.
DO NOT PURCHASE AVIVA CAR INSURANCE - THEY IGNORE CLAIMS.

Aviva is a horrible company to deal with. Extremely slow at settling claims, unfair and unethical appraisal values. What an awful company to have to deal with.

Still no settlement. It's been 210 days since accident. Unbelievable.
Voice-mail, email no response. No one at aviva seems to care.
My 2014 Honda Civic was rear ended and totalled. The claims process was quick, easy and satisfactory. I had only been with Aviva for a couple months, and the at fault party was not with Aviva which probably helped. My adjuster did go on a week vacation right after the accident which worried me but my car was able to be driven, it was the holidays and she did get back to me as soon as she got back. I was happy with the payout process, the rental process and the communication. They also refunded me for my car seats that were in the car at the time which was great. Overall very happy! Sorry to everyone else that has not had this experience though.

Poor response time to insrance claim. Poor communication from agent, limited support in a difficult time. Searching elsewhere after years of payments. Disappointing experience overall.
If I could give them 0 stars, I would. The worst insurance company ever. The customer service is disorganized and unprofessional. The claims department is the slowest process and only creates more stress for their customers. I’d literally pay double or triple to insure myself anywhere else!!! Don’t waste your time or money here
I have never had a more easy and simple claim process, ever! I made the call about hail damage to my car and had an appointment to have the estimate 2 days later. The next day after the estimate it was determined it was a total loss, and very fair compensation offers were made by telephone. I accepted an offer and was reimbursed exactly one week to the claim date, wow. The service was amazing and personable. They were compassionate as to my welfare, and kind and clear as to the conditions of my coverage. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to anyone. I am completely satisfied, and then some.

1st not my fault but took way too long to settle and was told outcome would come in a week. 3 months+ later. Now waiting on another claim and they cannot be found. Horrible service for the money spent. My brokers are doing the best they can, but this company is terrible, and I agree with the warning of others recommending going else where. Anywhere for that matter than Aviva. Take a chance with that dodgy company from India before trusting these folks. More or less at least some factors in play.
