Increased premiums every year

Been with RBC for a long while. Aviva comes in and suddenly crap is happening. Out of nowhere a rate hike of 50%. Nothing, I mean nothing has changed. No explanation that made sense was given. I have a Ram 1500 and the agent said that the underwriters viewed my area and because there are so many Rams with claims in my area that my rate would increase. I'm supposed to just accept that? Obviously, there is something behind the scenes going on. I'm shopping around now, but what a letdown. Just when you're comfortable, someone has to come along and disrupt your comfort. Taking away discounts is another issue altogether. They don't care about customers. Guaranteed.
Had a total loss accident, not my fault. They paid me reasonably but took a lot of effort to get the money and they took the rental car back the day they cut the cheque, I had no money to get new wheels. Replacing my 2015 car with a 2018 my insurance doubled, they gave no reason why, just said it's more expensive, well duh. I ended up going with a 2-door from a 4-door, well whoa Nelly the insurance went up like crazy now from $750 for the 2015 to $2400 for a 2018 2-door model. Customer service is horrible, called in 5 times to 'prove' to them I have forward emergency braking on my car for a 10 percent reduction. Just spent the last 2.5 hours talking and on hold. When I sent them proof from the dealer, they still couldn't figure it out. Finally, she said my premium would go down less than 10 dollars a month for this??? I've completely had it with them now and in 1.5 months, when my term is finished, we will be moving to another company, just out of sheer frustration, oh and every other company is from $300 to 600+ cheaper a year. I'm a 47-year-old male with 30+ yrs licensed and insured with one accident under $2k which was at fault over 25 years ago, no speeding tickets in the last 12 years (one I got was bogus). Wife insured 25 yrs and no accidents at fault and this is the treatment they give us.
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
I was insured with RBC auto insurance for a year at a fair rate. However, after a year they increased my insurance by $50 a month without any specific reason. I had no claims, violations or speeding ticket and had a clean driving record. When I tried to know the reason for the hike, even their reps weren't able to give any clear answer.

Went with RBC as I heard people talk bout great experience on car claims. Ive never had one but have heard it can be a nightmare. Since I bank with RBC I though why not and got a quote. It was $100 a year more than other quotes but decided to go with it. Then year 2 it increased 10% a year and then year 3 went up another 15%. I could not believe this. Went and called a broker and saved $1200 a year. Bye Bye RBC I will never make that mistake again.
