I have called 4 times to cancel due to wait times. App DOES NOT WORK, even after 3 calls to IT support. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
I have been with TD for more than 15 years.
Every year I thought it will get better next year but I think I was dreaming. I guess enough is enough. Very poor customer service. The staff is the script reader and has no focus on customer's needs. Long long wait times. Very frustrating.
I will never recommend this provider to anyone.
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
We have been with Meloche Monnex for probably 1996. Due to me being a professional engineer and apparent best rate.
We can say the first 10 years were great. 2nd 10 years - just pain with always calling to get my rates reduced as they always add extras. Now it is absolutely useless. Phone in number - forget it. Holds you for 15-20 mins then they hand up. Their driving app - probably the worst ever - try to call the help number - good luck. In 3 years - I have yet to reach anyone. The app is locked up for the last 2 years - no way to talk to someone. What a joke.
What a joke. I will be switching shortly. I found that another insurer has almost 50% less pricing! Don't waste your time.
The most bogus insurance company. Do not care for their clients but they know how to cheat their clients by changing their terms & conditions. No one gets 45 days of vacation at a time from their employers. They took this opportunity to change their terms and conditions. If someone goes on leave for one month, he cannot get the suspension of coverage unless he goes for 45 days. This does not match with the rules of an employer. Even they don't allow you to make this adjustment during your vacation period. Due to the lockdown people need to stay in 14 days quarantine and including everything it makes them 45 days. Still you cannot get that suspension of coverage by not using the car for more than 45 days.
So, do not go with TD insurance.
Terrible experience, I want to change my company after done with the claim, so slow process, nobody cares.
You can not understand half the people who answer the phone as well they keep mixing up and screwing up home and auto insurance. I've been on hold for over 3 and a half hours multiple times and still can't get anywhere with them. Also way overpriced!
Wait times are ridiculous, customer service is horrible. Rates double every year, no personal agent to deal with. I'll never use them again
The wait time for any phone service is disastrous at the epic level.
To make matters worse, the agent you speak with gives you a quote and when you receive the documents, you find a totally different value.
Today, I tried to pay an outstanding balance through my TD Insurance account. The system locked me out for some unknown reason.
I called the number that was posted on the screen for me to call.
I am waiting for the fourth agent now to connect with me because all the previous three agents that I was connected to, each time one agent transfers me to another because he is certified to provide me access to my account to pay my outstanding bill.
Would you believe that?
Stay away from this company.
I can't wait for the policy to finish after which time I will definitely not go back with them!
Waited on hold for 3+ hours on 3 separate occasions over the past 24 months. There is also no option to be put in a queue and be phoned back, leaving you stranded on the line.
When requesting a renegotiation of my monthly payments they gave me no alternatives even when I informed them another company had made me a better deal.
Their customers are clearly not high on their priority list. It's a real shame considering I like banking with TD.
I’ve had TD Meloche Monnex for over 20 years. They used to be good and I could get through on the phone fairly quickly. I just had a windshield claim. I told them I didn’t know when the windshield was hit but the crack showed up in the winter. He told me he needed a date so I said ok I estimate this day last summer was maybe when the stone hit. But we didn’t see anything till winter. It was just an estimate. So then he tells me that it’s more than a year so the claim is invalid. So then I said ok I should change the date because it showed up in Dec, not the summer. He said I couldn’t change the date and he put me through to customer service.
They said I had to talk to the glass claims and they put me back. This took another 40 minutes of waiting on the phone. In total, I waited 1.5 hours to talk to the first person and was on the phone for almost 3 hours. I listened to the same piano music played over and over at least 140 times.
I will be changing companies ASAP.
