Horrible customer service

1 out of 5 stars
Because of COVID 19 and the work from home policy, I took advantage of the COVID program for 4 months. After requesting to reinstate my insurance, they just increased my monthly payment by 35% of what I was paying before. No scruple! I have to wait until the end of my contract to move out. Stay away from them...
Over 2 hours on hold with them, every single time. Guaranteed. Once waited for almost 4 hours. Absolutely terrible!
Avoid this company, customer service is horrible! I don't think one-star describes the bad service they have. The replay by email in days! And usually with general responses and not adequate with the question or complaint of the customer. And the worst is the same if you call them, no people training with the products, so my advice AVOID THEM! And all these issues that I had it is only to ensure one car I cannot imagine if it is a crash! AVOID THEM!
I wanted to add my wife to my auto policy and the website said I have to call customer service. The 1st time I waited for 40 mins, nobody answer! 2nd time I was on hold for 80minutes, still no answer. Then I tried to call the number under "get a quote", no wait, issue resolved... They don't take care of the existing customer at all!
I had to make some changes to my policy and was on hold for 1 Hour and 41 Minutes. I thought that was bad but they reached a new low today. I bought a new car and had to get insurance so I phoned for the immediate service and have now as I am typing this been on hold for 2 HOURS 48 MINUTES AND STILL NO HELP!!! I went online and tried doing the changes but it takes them two days. I am cancelling my insurance with them because of this inferior service. I have no complaint with their prices it is the horrible service.
If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.
I have been insured with TD for years but now I’m battling with the scamming ways that they try to say I have included windshield insurance on my Jeep, a brick fireplace in my home. I have never included windshield and I don’t have a brick fireplace. I have been charged for both for 7 years plus. My policy never included my common law but I also was paying for that through monthly withdrawals. None of this has been resolved, I’m always told try will get back me!
The worst insurance provider. I have been charged thrice in a month. They cancelled and updated my policy without my concern and then said they tried to reach me but I never got any call. NEVER GET A INSURANCE FROM TD.
Unavailable online. On hold forever! Access to site disconnected for no reason!
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
Here was the course of events: 1) Truck received minor fender bender (other persons fault) 2) Took it to TD insurance and was told that not only would the other party cover everything but that they would also cover a rental car while the truck is being fixed. I was given a date to bring the truck back (after parts had been delivered) 3) Brought truck back, was told upon arrival that the parts were not there and that I would have to bring my truck back later. They said they had left a message telling me that the day before. Checked phone, no missed calls, no message. 4) Brought truck back in. This time parts were present, but then they told me that I no longer had a rental car covered. This time I came with my 8-month pregnant wife. I told them that they told me this would be covered on my first visit. They checked in their system and this was written down that they told me this on my initial visit (proof...I call it). But they said "sorry" and that this had changed, and that TD was no longer able to give me a rental car. I was angry, obviously - said some things I don't regret. 6) I went home, again. 6) Then I called the manager, who sorted out the situation the next day. I came back the next day and received a rental car. So, what do we do with all of this? Let's go through the issues: I was told I was going to get a rental car, then they didn't deliver. They said "sorry", but not sorry enough to fix the problem they caused...

If I could give a lower rating I would... but I can't. Spent over an hour on hold to only be disconnected. Tried again the next day and the same thing happened. So I went a different route by sending a message on their website, after writing my long message it didn't let me send it as the "function was unavailable"... So I turned to Twitter to get information and get my question answered only to be told to try phoning them again. Absolutely useless!
