Belairdirect is the worst ever

Very bad experience and unprofessional people. They made me wait 48 hours after giving the claim and getting the person in charge name to later say there is no claim.
Very expensive. 1 way 300$ month. I've left them because other insurances are charging me $300 full with $1million covered. I'm so happy I've left them.
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
I was just trying to renew my car insurance with this company, last year was $257.00, they just quoted me for the coming year $868.00, same coverage, no accidents !!!! Increase of over 300percent! Why would anyone want to deal with this company?
Was with Canadian Direct for several years, claims free for 43 years, premiums for optional insurance between $300 and $420 (last renewal) for the past 10 years. New vehicle, same make, same model and Belairdirect wants a staggering 161% premium increase. Good luck keeping market share.
I had an auto accident at 5:30 AM. By the time I arrived home and notified Belaire Ins about the accident, it was 9:00 AM. Less than 30 minutes later I received a call from Enterprise car rental company informing me they had a car ready for me and they were coming to pick me up.
This is the worst company to obtain insurance. Their process takes months to even get insurance and if there is a problem, their employees tell you to see another provider. I can only imagine what would happen if you ever had a claim. Trust me, pay the extra 50$ and seek ANY OTHER PROVIDER OTHE THEN BELAIRDIRECT
Was in a car accident months ago. It was completely the other driver's fault. Left my car completely totalled. I sustained a shoulder injury to my rotator cuff, as well as whiplash which has been giving me severe headaches. I install windows for a living and my job is all heavy lifting. I had all my paper for accident benefits filled out and sent in within 3 weeks of the accident, I even called Belairdirect to confirm they received them and they confirmed. It's now been 3 months and I have had no answers on my claim. I contact my adjuster every day and leave him a message. He never answers my calls nor responds to any message I leave. I own a house and have many bills and now I am on the verge of losing everything. I have not been paid in 3 months thanks to a car accident that wasn't even my fault. This company does not care about their clients whatsoever!
I had an at-fault accident last year and 2 years ago damage to my vehicle which was not rated as an accident. Now they are saying I "used up" my accident forgiveness with my first claim of damage to the vehicle and therefore my rate goes up 200%... after 26 years of accident free and one speeding ticket on my record that seems crazy... got comparable rates from other insurances and instead of paying Belairdirect $330/month I will be with another company at $150/month starting April...
If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.
They leave out key details that you should know about insurance. I am not happy as I was a customer for 2 years.

They talk like the sweetest person when you are buying a plan but when you say you are cancelling, even if you show them you get much better rates at Johnson they treat you bad. I paid a full year premium, but when I called in to cancel my policy upon expiry, the rudest customer service agent I ever faced said that I need to pay cancellation fees. I said I am not on monthly plan but paid a full year amount, she was still insisting on paying the cancellation fees. I haven't paid the fees and I will never pay those fees. Belairdirect is by far the worst insurance company I have known in the past 20 years. BEWARE, DON'T GO TO THEM
