When I needed to contact them after going through all the motions of numbers etc. I was told there would be a 40-60 minute wait. Hung up and called again several hours later and this time 30-60 minutes wait. So I decided to cut up my card. Elite you say. Gone I say. If they really wanted to give service, they could easily have a callback system.
I've had a BMO World Elite MC for a few years now and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Their reward points add up very quickly, the priority pass is always a bonus, but most importantly, their customer service is always amazing. I've had to deal with their customer service dept a couple of times (once for a bill that I forgot to pay (they waived the interest) and once to dispute a charge (they were unable to dispute it but the lady I dealt with was wonderful, I wish I had gotten her name so I could tell her supervisor what a great job she did) and I've always been happy with the solution they've offered. This is definitely my favourite credit card and the one I use most often. 10/10.

This is a great card by itself. The reward is decent, the included insurance is great, membership with Priority Pass plus free passes are awesome. The annual fee is a bit pricey, but as a BMO bank customer, I receive rebate towards this annual fee.
The biggest problem I have with this card is with BMO Rewards website, especially with their price match policy. They only do price match with some specific travel providers, such as Air Canada Vacations, Sunwing, etc... They do NOT price match with Expedia or some other travel agencies. Even when they do price match, they will then charge $30 plus taxes booking fee.
Another problem is how you redeem the points. Unlike some other travel credit cards, such as Scotia AMEX gold, the points cannot be redeemed as statement credits against your previous travel expenses. Instead, they can only be used when making a new booking.
Be prepared to be on hold a minimum of 20-40 minutes. I have called numerous times over the past 2 years generally because I am locked out of my account online and need resets. I have never gotten through without a minimum of 20 minutes hold. Of course, when I first signed up for the card and experienced this I spoke with a manager who said: "We are aware of the issue and are working on getting it resolved". Here we are 2 years later the same problem. In the past, we always used CIBC visas and never did we have any wait times like this...We only switched because Aeroplan points were harder to come by and the program was making changes. After using my points on BMO world elite we will be moving on as my time is more valuable than the service BMO offers.
