I was approached in store regarding a Walmart Mastercard and was pressured, finally agreeing to apply. When confirming the card, the customer service rep pressured me to take the insurance plans, which I did not want but seem to have gotten anyway. Customer Service reps must be on commission. I have called on two occasions to cancel my card due to being misled on insurance coverage I did not want. March 27th I called Customer Service to cancel my account and was not satisfied with the rep's response so I spoke with a supervisor and was told to cut up my card as the account was now closed. I received notification that a new statement was ready, so my account was not closed. I called Customer service again on May 20th and explained the situation. I was told to transfer the issue to a supervisor and I would receive a call within two days. Another lie. I have not received a call. Terrible Customer Service.
Due to untrackable credit loss on my card, I called them for the information, but they were just beating around the bush. So I requested them to cancel the card. I paid all the balance right away I did not use it anymore. They updated another balance, I paid for it again. I did not use it anymore. After two months, when I log into an online account to check it because I do not trust them, and there: another balance again. I couldn't believe it! (My total loss: $1247.25, if they steal $1247.25 from each customer and if their consumer population is 10 million (10,000,000) in North America (Canada, USA, Mexico), Guess how much they have stolen every year.

What else will you get:
I always try to pay my card off as soon as possible, mostly before the due time. There is a time the due date is on the 23rd. I paid on 20th, I happen to have an automatic charge posted on the 19th but when I paid it did not appear. Then the next month I was charged an annual interest at 130% for this amount I happened to miss because it is visible after I have paid my balance. I then called customer service. The first time I was disconnected after 20 minutes waiting; the second time I was told the person cannot access my account thus he was transferring to me another person and got disconnected again. Now I am still on the call waiting...
I reluctantly signed up for the card at the cash since I was promised a $ 25 rebate on the next purchase. I never got the card, never got a statement, but finally, yesterday, I got a text saying I was behind in my payments. I only used it that first time because of course I couldn't because I didn't get the card. Two hours on the phone yesterday, being transferred here and there. Apparently, my unit number was missing from the application, although I carefully gave it. First-person on the phone fixed it. But then I was transferred over and over again. Final Department seems to be Security who wants to verify me. They wanted my address from 20 years ago. I gave it to them. They said they will call me back on my phone to verify it is me. I waited, the phone never range but got a voicemail from Walmart saying to call them back on the number on the back of my card. I don't have a card!!! Called again, transferred 4 times, got Security Department, he said he'd have to call back on my phone, never called back. On hold now for 45 minutes while Security is doing??? I just want to pay the bill and then quietly cancel the card. What a mess.

So I got this card I can save 15$, but wow, it's been a few months, and customer service is so difficult to deal with, that I simply must cancel my card. 1) You keep getting transferred a lot because the amount of tasks each person deals with is extremely limited. This would be okayish if one didn't have to repeat their name/phone number/full address/reason of transfer each and every time. This is not the case with other companies. 2) One can't make a complaint or feedback to their supervisor, they say everything is recorded, and that is all they do, but who is going to bother to listen to that? If they had written it instead, then there would be a person in charge of that which could check in much less time the written complaints and feedback. 3) You can't make a payment to them online before having received the card, only by check. They won't give you your card number, even though you passed all their identification question. They don't properly take your address, even though you have provided them with a photo ID with the unit number, and even called them once before to advise them.
