I was calling to update my insurance policy (I can't do it online for some reason) for two days and still can't reach the operator. The line is permanently busy, I am constantly on hold. The longest was 5 hours. So rude and disrespectful.
I have spent over 4 hours on hold for 2 calls in the last week. It is time to find a new company to work with.

I was fortunate enough to get help from a representative - Customer Service on August 13, 2020. This gentleman is very knowledgeable in any sense and very helpful. He will help you in any way he can to navigate your needs. I must say I have been a customer of TD Meloche Monnex for 20 years and this is the only time I was impressed with TD Insurance Customer Service or any Customer Service as a matter of fact. They should have more knowledgeable Customer Service Representatives like he, after all, they are sort of the front line of the Company. MANY THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP!
Waited close to 5 hours on the phone on Aug 12, 2020, and no one responded. Have been waiting on the phone for over 3 hours the next day... Aug 13, 2020, waiting for someone to answer. I emailed TD auto insurance yesterday and no response. I understand the greeting is informing costumers of long wait times... however, this is ridiculous!
I have been trying to contact TD insurance almost for a month, and no response at all. I don't know how many messages I need to left so they can call me back. My insurance policy is due in a few days, and they haven't sent me the details of the new policy, pink card and I have no idea if I am insured or not if they will charge me and how much. Such a bad experience.
I have been trying for days...on hold for a few hours each day just to try to insure an additional vehicle that I just purchased. We have multiple vehicles insured with them currently... but I think that if I am unable to get a hold of them soon, I am going to switch everything over to someone else as this is absolutely Ridiculous...no one has the time for this.
I have been trying for 2 days to get a car insured after my car was deemed a total write off by TD. Hours wait on the phone to be told that their system is down and they can’t access my files or do anything. My claim was passed around to several adjusters and someone in Toronto finally got in touch with me. The settlement was fair but I really just wanted my car fixed as can’t replace what I lost in the quality of the car. I dread the personal injury aspect now. Likely need to lawyer up. I’ve had insurance with them for houses and cars for 30 years. It’s a different company since TD took over. Need to look at other options as need insurance so I can drive my replacement vehicle. Unacceptable. COVID has zero to do with it!
This is unbelievable. I have wasted almost 5 hours waiting to reach someone from customer service to modify my policy which unfortunately cannot be changed online if I want the changes to be effective immediately.
If TD Insurance is unable to offer reasonable waiting times on their phone lines, then they should create a website that can serve its customers better.
Looking to switch to a different insurance company. This is just too frustrating.

I have both my house and auto insurance with Meloche Monnex, and I am trying to add another car into my current insurance but the waiting time for customer service is ridiculous. I called once and waited for an hour and end up hanging up, and I am trying again and I am afraid I will be waiting for over 1 hour again with no result.
Too bad they do not care for their customers; I am seriously considering moving all my insurance to a company that, at least, I can get in touch. Thinks twice and carefully before doing business with this company.
They increase my car insurance by 30 % with no reason at all. Was trying to call them but was on hold for hours. It is impossible to talk to TD people and get any explanation of why it went up that high. So very disappointed. Might start shopping around for better car/home insurance.
