Unbelievably poor customer service. Total joke. Only posting to notify people of the following: if you can't get through to customer service, try calling using VOIP (e.g. Gmail, Slack) and say you're a new customer. They prefer new business and seem to be screening numbers.
Like others, I am fed up with long hold times trying to get in touch with TD Insurance. Recently, I needed to change coverage on my car. I called 4 days in a row and gave up after an hour on hold each time. Service was okay when I finally got through but I can't waste 4 hours every time I need to make a change to my insurance. Today my daughter tried to contact TD to get insurance. She was disconnected after two hours on line. We are now contacting other companies.

They increase my car insurance by 30 % with no reason at all. Was trying to call them but was on hold for hours. It is impossible to talk to TD people and get any explanation of why it went up that high. So very disappointed. Might start shopping around for better car/home insurance.
I was calling to update my insurance policy (I can't do it online for some reason) for two days and still can't reach the operator. The line is permanently busy, I am constantly on hold. The longest was 5 hours. So rude and disrespectful.

I was fortunate enough to get help from a representative - Customer Service on August 13, 2020. This gentleman is very knowledgeable in any sense and very helpful. He will help you in any way he can to navigate your needs. I must say I have been a customer of TD Meloche Monnex for 20 years and this is the only time I was impressed with TD Insurance Customer Service or any Customer Service as a matter of fact. They should have more knowledgeable Customer Service Representatives like he, after all, they are sort of the front line of the Company. MANY THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP!
Waited close to 5 hours on the phone on Aug 12, 2020, and no one responded. Have been waiting on the phone for over 3 hours the next day... Aug 13, 2020, waiting for someone to answer. I emailed TD auto insurance yesterday and no response. I understand the greeting is informing costumers of long wait times... however, this is ridiculous!
I don't understand what happened to Meloche Monnex. I used to love, love them, they used to be easy to deal with. However, that is not the case anymore. Over this past week every single day, I've phoned and have been on hold for 4 hours at a time. This is unreasonable. Once I get through, the person on the line asks a few questions, and then eventually says "our system is down we can't do this or that, check back tomorrow". I just wanted to add another vehicle to my existing insurance policy. I don't understand why that's next to impossible. Also, their waiting music is extremely annoying. Please change the music. Also please hire more workers, it's apparent that they have hardly anyone to handle issues. Also, please hire tech support to deal with the constant system outages. It's getting ridiculous. I used to really vouch for Monnex, but I cannot.
I have been trying to contact TD insurance almost for a month, and no response at all. I don't know how many messages I need to left so they can call me back. My insurance policy is due in a few days, and they haven't sent me the details of the new policy, pink card and I have no idea if I am insured or not if they will charge me and how much. Such a bad experience.
Long wait of over 2 hours, when I finally got through I was changing from a 2008 Hyundai accent to a 2013 Kia Rio, similar cars same liability coverage, excellent driving record. They gave me a 30% increase on my premium for no explainable reason. I know people paying around the same for a new car with collision because they don't own it. Very disappointed. I will probably look for a better deal soon.
