2 Months... still not finalized

Checked my bank account to find out TD has taken more than double my premium from my account without any type of warning causing my mortgage to bounce and I incurred 2 NSF charges! When I finally got through to a real person to point out their mistake, I was told that this is what TD does to insure a policy renewal, and they will gladly give me my NSF charges back when I prove to them it was actually taken from my accounts. They are modern-day pirates out for only one thing... Profits! They couldn't care less about their clients. RUN as fast as you can from these people. I will be informing all my friends, relatives and colleagues of the way TD treat their clients!
And I thought my TD Assurance story was over. In November I had given TD Assurance explicit written directions that they were not to renew my policy automatically and that I wanted a quote at the termination of the current policy so I could make a decision.
Last Wednesday although my policy was completely paid for TD attempted to put another payment through my bank account. Fortunately, there wasn't enough money in that particular account and the payment bounced. The bank (not TD) did charge me an NSF fee which they subsequently gave me back once I explained to them what had happened. Then on Friday, I got a notice from TD Assurance that they had auto-renewed my policy at a rate that was double what I had negotiated with the new company for exactly the same terms as my original policy.
WARNING - DO NOT GIVE TD ASSURANCE YOUR BANKING INFORMATION. SHOP AROUND FOR INSURANCE RATES. TD Assurance rates are usury.
They have too few customer service reps. When I finally got through I was told how the charges would go through to which I agreed. They didn't go through as agreed (charged to credit card) and debited my bank account without my permission. Since there was a balance outstanding, because the full amount wasn't debited, I couldn't get access to my account online because there was a balance outstanding? Ridiculous...
Terminated my policy without notifying me. Later I find out they did it as they were not able to process payments on my card because my bank noticed some FRAUD transaction and cancelled the card. Received no phone, text or email regarding missing payments for four months. When I acted it was already too late. I offered to make any outstanding payment in full and requested to reinstate insurance.
Instead of helping out their customer, they flagged my account with non-payment' which is now impacting me every time I go to any insurance company. They did it purposely so that I go back to them, and take insurance at a revised rate which is 120 per month higher than what I was paying before. Another weirdest thing, I paid off everything I owed, they're not even ready to issue a letter note saying I do not OWE anything. I don't know how to defend my rights in this situation 'when they have full access to flag/destroy my record with whatever they want.
Overpriced paying $100 less than my truck payments and have a clean driving record. They never take out money when they are supposed to say on my yearly bill chart that payments are going to be taken on the 18th of every month but rarely ever do its usually either my car insurance or my rental insurance one day and the other a day or 2 later. Then if I don't notice they haven't taken it and use it I get charged $45 by the bank and get a late fee from them when if they would take it out when they are supposed to the money would be there
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
It has been so impossible to contact my TD Ins., I have had to cancel my insurance policy via snail mail ($11.35 Canada Post). I received a notice on Oct. 27th that this was done, and that I would be receiving a refund. Instead of a refund, they debited my account for the amount of the reimbursement. I have sent another registered letter ($11.35 Canada Post) to get the money back they took, to obtain my policy cancellation refund and to pay the postage costs I endured. To debit someone's account without authorization is illegal. The fact that this is done by a bank is worrisome. The letter was posted on Nov. 6th, I await a response.
As a policyholder for a year, I've had nonstop issues with them. Insanely long wait-times aside, I've experienced countless billing issues on their end that I've always had to call in and correct (ie. double billing me 2 months in a row), representatives in their call center who exert almost zero effort to help actually solve the problem at hand, and worse - they make countless mistakes and do not take accountability for any of them. They are supposed to keep notes on your account. The most recent example of their sloppiness is when I called in to point out a billing error that they thankfully fixed during the call. At the end of the call, I inquired about when my policy was renewing, to which the representative replied 'end of the month'. I called in a few days later to cancel my policy after finding out that I have been grossly overpaying after CAA gave me a quote, and the woman on the line states that my policy 'just renewed the previous day' and as a result, I would now be responsible for a $600 cancellation fee. Because the other TD representative was so lazy as to verify my renewal date (and was so lazy that he didn't even make any notes on my account during my call with him). I am now stuck with this awful company for another whole year. I'm almost tempted to pay up the $600 just to be free from their awful service. Word to the wise: save yourself constant headaches + overpayment and avoid TD auto insurance like the plague.
TD is by far the worst insurance company. Extremely long waits over 2.5 hours if you are trying to reach out to customer service. If you are lucky enough to get connected (in case the call doesn't drop) the agents are rude and are not interested to listen to your concerns. TD make changes to your policy on their own and jack up your premium and start withdrawing money from your account without even informing you. Stay away from TD at all costs.
If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.
By the time I’d had enough of this company and decided to cancel my insurance it then took 12 hours of my time sitting on hold and waiting on chats to have the cancellation completed. I spoke with three people over the course of three weeks and finally had to “pitch a fit” to get it cancelled. Now it’s been 5 weeks waiting on a refund check. So today two hours waiting on chat (after another hour and a half yesterday when my computer went to sleep) to find out that they say a “minimum of 4-6 weeks to get a refund. I asked how they would feel if it took their clients 4-6 weeks to make their payments. This company has no business selling insurance. There is ZERO customer service!!!

I made a claim 2 months ago and it is still not finalized.
I have been charged premiums for 2 additional months so far and the insurance adjuster does not respond to any of my messages as to why I am still being charged.
They lost my business on the new car I just purchased.
