They are not reliable nor responsible. Don't expect any respect. They don't answer their phone and emails. They don't care about customers at all. When you need their support after paying lots of money monthly, they just leave you alone. They switched many adjusters for one claim. Adjusters don’t have enough knowledge & respect.
As the owner of a body shop for over 40 years, this has got to be the absolute worst experience I've had dealing with an insurance company. An adjuster who has an outdated voicemail message on his machine and doesn't return calls, an imaging desk you cannot reach because their mailbox is full, a claims department you cannot reach, and an operator who is not there and that mailbox is full as well. What a GONG SHOW!!! It's a pretty sad way to run a business.

My claim has been open for two weeks and there has been no progress at all. Even getting the adjuster to communicate with me has been awful.
We will be changing our insurance company as soon as this is all over, and I will never EVER go with TD Insurance again.
Worst customer service I've ever experienced.
I made a claim 2 months ago and it is still not finalized.
I have been charged premiums for 2 additional months so far and the insurance adjuster does not respond to any of my messages as to why I am still being charged.
They lost my business on the new car I just purchased.
Recently I had got into an accident and filed my claim and after called them so many times and trying to reach them which is the hardest thing. You cannot reach these scammers easily my claim is still pending for the past 5 months and now the adjuster told me they are denying my claim as they told me my car damage did not happen from an accident when I told them I want to take my car fix myself and sort this myself they told me I can pick my car. Apparently, there is a 6000$ storage charge in my car and they killed my car value and the worst part they lied that they want to keep the car in their yard as it won't cost any storage but my car is in some auto shop in Toronto. Really fraud and scamming insurance company. I will go to court for this but people stay away from them they are fraudsters. I want to give them 0 stars but there is no option for it.

I am a TD client since 2013, recently my honda van got damaged in a recent hail in Calgary, Alberta. I filed the claim the next day, the advisor informed my car was a total loss, he was not too good with communication for a couple of weeks and then... he disappeared, for 2 months! I was calling their different numbers, sent hundreds of emails but got nothing for almost 60 days! I was only provided rental for only 1 week in this 2.5 months period of "no car". Eventually, someone got back to me to help and offered me $8500 for the van I bought in 2017 for $22,000! This vehicle was financed and I still have to pay $11,000 to the financial institution for this van. They aren't even giving any chance of negotiation. This is brutal and broke all my confidence in TD insurance... A big company with pathetic customer service.
On June 13th we purchased a new 2020 Denali XL. While driving to the registry from the dealership we were hit by the hail storm and the vehicle was destroyed. Hail went through the roof, broke every panel on the vehicle and the windows were shattered. After filing a claim with TD Insurance the vehicle sat at the dealership for almost a month waiting to be towed to an adjuster. A month into the claim and the vehicle is still sitting at a scrap yard with no plan of how to move forward, all while we are paying for a rental. Our adjuster won’t return calls or emails. I would caution anyone to choose TD insurance. We choose TD because of the professional/alumni incentives, but no amount of savings will ever recover the cost of this experience.
I am happy I was able to find this site which explains a lot about TD Insurance. So I created a claim five days ago. The adjuster never answers my phone calls and now I understand that this is standard practice for TD Insurance. As I understand it will be wasting time trying to contact TD so I am going to file a claim to "General Insurance OmbudService". Let's see if it works or not
They don't have office in any other province other than Ontario... They claim to have one in Ontario which could be false as well. Everything is easy till you have a claim. Once the claim is filed, the assessor is hard to reach. Your calls would only end up in their voicemail. I had a claim and tried reaching out my assessor almost 50 times. You can't meet them in person. The wait times on these calls are usually over 90 min. I am under 25... so they charged high rates for insurance which is understandable since that is the process by all the other insurance companies. I wish I was in BC or Sask where insurance is given by government organizations.. TD auto insurance is a big scam.
TD representative before she had the police report. Before she had pictures of the vehicles. Deemed both parties would be 50 percent liable as there was no video evidence, eyewitnesses and conflicting statements. Then she wanted to know which body shop using...Then after not returning my calls for a week called the body shop and asked them to take pictures of the interior as they want to write the car off...
